Asiatic or Eurasiatic

Okay, so some shit is going down in my region, Azhukali, and the regional founder is making a second, more limited region and I am going to take a part in it. I, however, hate these puppet things and think they are the gay. So, basically, I am deciding to make a new nation and, from then on, remain as that nation... forever.

Now this is where I'm stumped: I for sure am going to make a far-left radical/communist nation, but the choice I'm having trouble is whether or not it should be an Asiatic nation (Korea, China, Japan, Laos, Vietnam, et coetera) or an Eurasiatic/Eastern European nation (Russia, particularly the USSR, Ukraine, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Belarus, Estonia, et coetera).

So, well, ultimately the decision is up to me, but I would like some help choosing whether to be Asiatic or Eurasiatic. So please give me some reasons for either or, vote on the poll, or ignore me. Whatever. Thanks for your assistance.

You don't need to study Asian culture THAT much. Just read a Wikipedia article before you make you nation and think up and research stuff as you go.

Yes, but the main issue with that is the language barrier. I will most likely take any written language and languages from whatever my settlers originally migrated from (perhaps China or another East Asian country), but I for one do not know how to write in Chinese or Japanese, or any Asiatic language. And I know how inaccurate translators can be.

This is an English language forum. While foreign text looks nice, you don't really have to use it -- the strength of your writing and characterization are more important than a couple of lines of foreign language text. Besides, no one is going to re-translate your Google translated Chinese or other language text to look for errors

As for being border mates, perhaps we will be. I don't completely know what kind of nation I'm doing yet, and my nebulous ideas are ranging from a Mediterranean-like direct-democratic city state, to a Nordic monarchy, or an Asiatic nation (especially with their mention in this thread -- well-done Asian nations are hard to find, but are very cool if done well). So just let me figure it out...

I figured you just meant 'based off' a RL nation. Obviously you'd be based off an RL culture, but actually coming from an RL nation is kind of dumb.
