The Imperial Sultanate of Osmaniyye, or Osmanlı İmparatorluk Sultanlığı in Turkish, is a nation situated on both the European and Asian continents, and thus it has been referred to as the 'Crossroads of the World'. As such, the nation is important in the trading between Asia and Europe, and the influx of traders has boosted the economy.
Osmaniyye had a humble beginning in the late 13th century, where several Central Asian tribes migrated into Anatolia. They began to form a kingdom of their own, and crowned Osman I El-Gazi as their Sultan. They began to develop, conquering their neighbours and eventually emerged as the overlord of the area. Over the centuries, however, Osmaniyye had lost its hold on its land, and their territories retreated into the Osmaniyye of today, as its former territories began to revolt and form nations of their own.
The head of state is the Sultan, the current being Sultan Mehmet Osman El-Muzaffar VI ibnu Almarhum Mehmet Suleymen Iskander El-Muzaffar II, or better known as Sultan Osman VI. He is in turn advised by the Grand Vizier, Grand Vizier Ahmed Hayreddin Tevfik Pasha, one of the most renowned scholars in the sultanate.
The nation has a rather balanced military, although the government focuses its funds on the Land Forces and the Navy.
