History

The land of Western Cuba was once owned by the country of Camagüey. However during 1952, Western Cuba seceded from the Republic of Camguey and formed the Republic of Western Cuba. A new President was elected. Named Ernesto Guevara.

However though the peace wouldn't last for long, Western Cuba erupted into a violent civil war in 1955 that raged throughout the countryside. The Republic faced off against the communists. Lead by Vladimir Makarov the First. Whose resistance group was head quartered in a bunker off in New Khabarovsk. The War ended in 1957. With Ernesto Guevara being hanged, and Vladimir Makarov installing himself into power. A violent regime had begun.

Though through Vladimir Makarov turned Western Cuba into a military power after the civil war. In 1965 he conquered the Republic of Camaguey. There former neighbors in the East part of Cuba. After that Makarov established many colonies throughout the world. Which therefore created many enemies. Nation's like Khorata and the St. Timothy Islands attempted to invade Western Cuba. However though were stopped dead in there tracks.

Nation's like Khorata and the St. Timothy Islands weren't able to stop the power and wrath of Vladimir Makarov but one man was. Ricardo Escobar assassinated Makarov with a sniper rifle during a military parade in 1999. The faith of the regime was put into his youngest son. As his eldest son was killed while invading East Klent, and his middle aged son Boris killed by terrorists. His youngest son though didn't prove as effective of a leader as his father was though.

Throughout his regime Western Cuba remained strong but started to decline. The Economy began to grow weaker, and the armies power began to dwindle due to a weak economy. However though poor relations with other countries still remained. In 2010 Makarov made the fatal decision in attacking Gathustria, a Britanian Colony. The task force sent to invade however was destroyed by a combined force of Britannians and the country of Cyrupe.
With Makarov deciding to sent another task force, the country of Reformed Britannia decided they had to invade.

Therefore a bloody conflict started between the country of Reformed Britannia, Western Cuba, the Matthew Islands and several other less involved nations. The country of Syvorji attempted an Invasion of New Moscow but was brutally defeated. However though that was one of the few victories for Western Cuba in the war.

Tense fighting erupted in Havana when the Britannians attacked the district, and Vladgrad was under artillery bombardment. Soon the Northern Part of Havana feel and an attack by the Britannians was planned on the Southern Part of Havana. Which involved an attack from the front and on the sides across from the river. An army at the town of Yaz which only numbered in the thousands attempted to stop the Britannia advance from the flank. It delayed the advance however though eventually Yaz fell and soon ever Southern Havana did.

With Southern Havana falling and the country falling apart. Along with an Invasion of the Province of Titoville by the Matthew Islands. Five Star General Taylor decided that he would surrender his army of Vladgrad. Without a fight. Makarov also escaped Vladgrad and fled to Belfras. Soon afterward the war was over with the Invaders being victorious.

Soon after peace talks began involving the Matthew Islands, Western Cuba, and Reformed Britannia. A conclusion was soon decided that a Constitutional Referendum would be decided on if Western Cuba would be ran by a Republic or a Monarchy. Some Britannia forces would remain in Havana. Establishing a base, and the Eastern Part of Cuba would be formed again to recreate the Country of Camguey.

Afterward Makarov then fled to Szenoshal, but attempted to fly back to Belfras. He plane was shot down by Britannia MultiRole Fighter and is believed to be dead. However which isn't the truth.

The constitutional referendum was then soon decided and a Republic would be chosen. Afterward Presidential Elections were held and Adrian Soto was elected the New President of Western Cuba. His inauguration is set to be held soon.
