[Rascotlandia]

Rascotlandia's national legislative body is the People's Assembly which has total of 736 members. Elections are held in October each year. Current composition is:

Democratic Socialist Union - 448 MPs
Rascotlandian Social Democrats - 127 MPs
Communist Party of Rascotlandia - 95 MPs
Libertarian Socialist Alliance - 42 MPs
United for Mother Earth - 24 MPs

Like all other institutions in Rascotlandia, it works for 32 hours in a week, from Monday to Friday (8 hours each day) and is broadcasted live on the Parliamentary Channel.

[The Planet Carpathia]

Carpathian General Council consists of 15 members (at present, but the number is by no means fixed) who are all Presidential appointees. It meets in full session (including the President) once or twice a month to question the President and vote on legislative proposals. These meetings are always televised on all public screens. Other meetings are held to discuss any legislative proposals and to question government officials and ministers, though these meetings are not attended by all members of the council.

Voters will decide whether or not to turn General Council into a fully elected assembly in a forthcoming referendum.

[Saurisisia]

Saurisia's Legislative Body, the Saurisian Congress, is a bicameral legislative body that consists of some 500 members in total. They meet every month or two to debate on legislature. Elections are held once every four years.

[ArghNeedAName]

The Parliament is divided into two chambers. The National Assembly has 600 deputies, while the Senate has 301 senators.

The senate has 300 members elected through a two round system, each represnting a district. Districts have two Senators - only one senator per district gets elected in a Senate election. The 301st Senator is the Chancellor, who is elected alongside the President in a nationwide election.

The NA voting system is quite complex. Party membership to the NA is determined by proportional representation. However, rather than using party lists, individual membership is determined by how individual candidates perform in the district they contest. Each district has 4 deputies, in addition to the 2 senators.

Hippostania has a democratically elected unicameral parliament that is elected every five years. You can see the latest election results in my Factbook.

[Vauxhill]

The Parliament is divided into two chambers; House of Chancellors (Lower House) and the Council of Lords (Upper House). In the House of Chancellors there are three Chancellors for each department, of which there are ten. And in the upper house there are nine Lords, one for each island. The Chancellors are elected every three years, and the Lords are appointed until they resign.

[Stachland]

Stachland's legislature is known as the Popular Congress. The Labor Party has a slim plurality of members, but the Congress is controlled by the Green Party in coalition with the Communist Party.

[Esoterias]

The legislative branch is the Senate. In the Esoterian Senate, there are 100 members, which include:
Traditional Party: 54

The Traditional party stands for environmental protection, less government, and a half way public-private market.
The People's Social Party stands for nationalized healthcare, retirement benefits, pacifism, and scientific research. Our Chancellor (executive) belongs to the social party.
The Nintendo Party stands for higher police rations, bigger government, higher taxes, and large corporations.

[Maraque]

The Royal Legislature's unicameral chamber is called the National Assembly, comprised of 1,000 directly elected delegates for unlimited six year terms, proportionate to the population of the individual boroughs and terriitories. The Prince Regent is the Assembly Speaker. Elections take place every six years on the last Wednesday of the year, and then the new National Assembly convenes on January 1st.

[New Lusitaniagrad]

The Federal Diet is the supreme representative body of the Federation. It is comprised of Deputies elected from each of the Five Guilds, the Five Commonwealths, the Imperial Cities, the Lusitanian Trade Company, the provinces, and The Church. The Federal Diet has 370 seats (105 elected by the people in the provinces, 125 elected from the Commonwealth Parliaments, 20 appointed by the Imperial City Councils, 20 appointed by the Colonial Occupation Governments, 50 elected by the Guild Councils, 20 appointed by the Lusitanian Trade Company Board of Directors, and 30 elected by the Church's Council of Cardinals), and meets at least once a month in Portmor. The Diet votes within it's self to to create bills that it then offers to the Emperor so that it may become a law. However, the Emperor can veto any decision made by the Federal Diet since it is only a Representative body. The Diet also creates committees needed to micro-manage special interest topics.

[Michindoh]

The Michindohan National Assembly is a tricameral legislative system. There are three parts to the National Assembly.

The largest Legislative body is the People's Council, it is akin to the US's House of Representatives. There are currently 455 voting members and 5 non-voting delegates.

The second largest Legislative body is the Chamber of States, which is also akin to the US's Senate. There are currently 130 voting members within the Chamber.

The smallest Legislative body in Michindoh is the National Delegation League. Each Geographical region within Michindoh is grouped into one voting area and they then elect a Delegate to represent their geographical region. The reason behind this League is to provide bills and laws that will better serve a specific region rather than just blanket the entire nation and consider it all the same. There are currently 13 voting members in the National Delegation League.

[Zwitterjiund]

The Emporor of Zwitterjiund is the only legislative body in the empire however the Political Commisaars are ellected by constituancies to help voice the peoples opinions and needs.

There are currently 238 Political Commisaars representing Zwitterjiund itself, 12 representing the Colony of Putoland, 3 for Eye Ownea Horsia and 43 representing other member nations of the Empire.

The colonies do have the choice of denying the legislation, however the Emporor controls the vital pasta supplies that keep the Empire fed, as you can tell political rebellion is often defeated within weeks

Putoland is known to dislike pasta and is therefore more powerful, and often gets its way when suggesting amendments concerning themselves

[The Grand Millian]

Legislative body is The Imperial Millian Senate, at this time we have around 120 seats in it, 10 for each of the 12 territories in The United Empire.

[The Harrowlands]

The Parliament of the Harrowlands (known as the Althung) consists of the House of Lords and the House of Commons.

The Commons consists of 140 members: 120 Members of Parliament who are voted to represent their local constituencies in Parliament; and 20 Knights of the Shire, who are elected to represent each one of the 20 shires of the Harrowlands.

The Lords consists of the lords temporal (dukes, mormaers, earls, viscounts, barons, clan chiefs) and the lords spiritual (archbishops, bishops and deans of the Church of Harrow).

Currently no one sits in Parliament as we are in the middle of a general election campaign; the new House of Commons will be elected on 25th July.

Our Monarchy Queen Rosalinda Marie Montoya Fiore is an absolute monarch, she is advised by the Privy Council.

[Sanctus Pacis]

The closest organization to a legislature in Sanctus Pacis is the High Council. It houses 20 members.

[Valcluse]

The legislative branch of the government is the Parliament. It has 236 members, who represent all 236 cantons. It is headed by the Speaker and the Prime Minister. The Parliament creates and ammends laws and legislation. However, the executive power remains with the State Council and the President. The President is the only figure within the government who can veto and overrule Parliament.

[The Great Yuan Dynasty]

The legislature of the Empire of The Great Yuan Dynasty is composed of the Common Forum and the College of Elders. Delegates to the Common Forum are elected by and represent many different constituencies. There are delegates who are elected by and represent the residents of the various cantons. Then there are those delegates who are elected by and represent the various craft and trade guilds, religious and ethnic groups, recognized advocacy groups, etc. The Delegates to the Common Forum meet twice yearly, in Spring and Fall, to propose legislation and to present petitions from their constituents to the proper government authority. They serve for six years, and cannot serve consecutive terms.

The College of Elders is composed of men and women over the age of fifty who have in some meaningful way served their communities and/or the Empire, or are a recognized specialist in their field. Recommendations for Elders come from the Delegates to the Common Forum. They are appointed by the Premier with the advice and consent of the Grand Secretariat. They meet twice yearly, in Winter and Summer, to review and make recommendations on legislation proposed by the Common Forum. Their recommendations are given to the Premier who then distributes them to the proper government authority for review and implementation. They serve for six years, and cannot serve consecutive terms.

The ruling Emperor or Empress has the right to convene special sessions of either or both bodies. He or she also has the right to advise and/or seek the advice and counsel of either or both bodies. However, neither he nor she has the right to dissolve either body or to interrupt the regularly scheduled sessions of either body.

Our only legislature is the House of Governors. The membership is in most cases hereditary and is usually passed down to the eldest male son. The members have little actual power, but serves mostly as a status symbol and has the ability to suggest laws and stamp laws already passed by the Emperor.

[Arnich]

Article 116 of the Constitution named the Council of Ministers as the "highest executive and administrative body of state authority" in the People's Republic of Arnich. However, the council was too large to act as an effective decision-making body. The Presidium, made up of the most influential economic administrators in the government, had the power to act in the name of the full council when the Council of Ministers was not in session. The Chairman of the full Council of Ministers, Akrta Urano, acted as head of government and chief economic administrator.

Below the central institutions stood the ministries, state committees, and other governmental organs, which carried out regime policies in their respective fields subject to strict party control. The ministries managed the economic, social, and political systems.

The Royal Chambers (Chambres Royales) is the legislative branch of the Cironic government. The Royal Chambers is bicameral and is split into the lower house People's Chamber (Chambre du Peuple) and the upper house Sovereign's Chamber (Chambre du Souverain). Both chambers under the direction of the Monarch (Monarque).

[Alterrea]

The Community has a bicameral asymmetric legislature.

The Lower House is the Great (or Grand) Council. It has 288 members elected by proportional representation every three years.
The Great Council has jurisdiction an almost everything, but it needs the approval of the Senate in some matters.
The Great Council splits in four different Chambers when it is dealing with decisions which involve only a single Division of Alterrea.
The Great Council elects 6 members of the government.

The Upper House is the Senate. It has 54 members elected by one third every three years by the Great Council.
The Senate has sole jurisdiction on Senators. It has concurrent powers with the Great Council in some matters (such as the military, foreign relations, Leader's Election, Government election, High Judiciary appointment), in all the other cases its opinion is advisory. The Senate can introduce legislation in the Great Council. 6 Senators are appointed to assist and advice the Leader (3 appointed by the Great Council and 3 by the Senate).
The Senate elects 6 members of the government.

The Sovereigns is another council which has jurisdiction when the Leader, the Senate and/or the Great Council can't agree on jurisdiction. It's both a "judiciary" and a "legislative" body. The Sovereigns is composed by the Leader, six Senators (half elected by the Great Council, half by the Senate), three high Justices.
