Volmachtia views Terra Mariana in a generally positive light. It is less than religious, which is not exactly ideal, but its social conservatism and generally nationalistic policy is celebrated. Volmachtia has a policy of "General approval" to Terra Mariana.

General Information

Nation Title: Kingdom of Beringovia
Form of Government: Constituional Monarchy
National Leader(s): His Royal Highness Tsar Nickolai; Prime Minister Olga Andropova
Political Orientation: Centrist
Economic Orientation: Free market

Politics and Governance:What are is your nation's predominant view on the following; be as detailed as you please but a simple agree/disagree is adequate. (If you would, please answer directly after or below the bold brackets in normal font)

Section 1. Political Philosophy:

Democracy: Since the end of World War II the nations government has been founded on democratic principles, and the large majority of people look favorably on democracy.

Representative Democracy: Beringovia is a representative democracy.

Direct Democracy: Sometimes employed at the local level.

Monarchy: Beringovia is a Monarchy.

Absolute: Not looked favorably upon
Constitutional: We are one. The Tsars powers are severly circumscribed, though he is not a mere figurehead.

Oligarchy: Not looked favorably upon.
Republicanism: Although a Monarchy, Beringovia respects the traditions of countries which have a republican heritage. Though the monarchy is popular, a minority of Berinovians favor the establishment of a republic.
Dictatorship/Totalitarianism: Looked upon very unfavorably.
Fascism: Looked upon very unfavorably.
Anarchism: Looked upon very unfavorably, except by certain overly-idealistic college freshmen.

Anarcho-Capitalism: The "Anarcho" part at least is looked upon unfavorably.
Anarcho-Mutualism: Looked upon very unfavorably.
Anarcho-Communism: All forms of communism looked upon very unfavorably, since Beringovia was founded as a refuge for opponents of the Bolseviks.

Socialist Vanguard State: Looked upon very unfavorably.
Theocracy: Generaly looked upon unfavorably. Though the Orthodox Church is the official religion of the Royal court, the rest of the state is run on basically secular terms.
Secularism: Generaly looked upon favorably, as long as it isn't perceived as hostle to religion.
Authoritarianism: Looked upon unfavorably.
Libertarianism: Looked upon favorably by a certain segment of the population, though a majority would say that libertarians put too much emphasis on limited government.
Conservatism: American-style conservatism (i.e. social conservatism combined with economic liberalism) is generaly looked upon favorably.
Progressivism: Considered a respectable political position, but not one held by the majority.
Militarism: Most Beringovian's are against militarism in principle, but recognize that a strong military may be necessary in the world we live in.
Pacifism: Generally perceived as being an overly idealistic and unrealistic position. There is a strong pacifist strain among certain religious minorities, and these are generally tolerated.

Internationalism: Depending upon how it is defined it can be perceived positively, as with nations cooperating to meet common problems, or negatively, as a threat to national soverignty.

Collectivism: See above. Forced collectivism, at least, is perceived negatively.

Section 2. Economic Philosophy:

Capitalism: Perceived positively, if only because it is perceived as the opposite of communism.
Communism: Anti-communism is deeply rooted in Beringovia's national identity because it was founded as a refuge for White Russians and other anti-bolsheviks following the Russian revolution. However, since the end of the cold war it has become fashionable to keep a few communists around as a source of amusement.
Socialism: Generally viewed negatively
Free Market/Laissez-Faire Economics: Free market economics are generally viewed positively, but most Berinogians recognize that some degree of government involvement in the economy is necessary.

Corporatism: Viewed positively, is long as it isn't perceived as a threat to personal freedom.
Welfarism: Beringovians consider themselves rugged individualists and generally take a dim view of public welfare, though most recognize that some sort of social saftey net is necessary.
Syndicalism (Trade Unionism): Generally viewed negatively due to the infiltration of communists into trade unions early in Beringovia's history
Globalization: Generally viewed very positively.
Free Trade: Viewed positively. Beringovias economy relies heavily on the export of commodities, and we want to maintain markets to sell our products.
Fair Trade: Most Beringovians agree with fair trade in principle, in spite of the fact that its strongest supporters as are perceived as overly idealistic long-haired hippies.
Protectionism: Viewed negatively. Beringovia has relatively few domestic manufacuring industries to protect anyway.
Feudalism: Viewed as a historical anachronism by those who bother to think of it at all
Environmentalism: Most Beringovians believe that we must strike a balance between protection of the natural environment, and exploitation of our enormous natural resources for economic development. Just where that balance should be struck is currently a defining feature of Beringovian politics.
Consumerism: Most Beringovian's don't want to see themselves as crash consumerists, though to many outsiders that is what they are.
Racism: Currently viewed very negatively, though there is an unfortunate history of mistreatment of the countries indiginous population, and even now there are occasional allegations of discrimination.
Multiculturalism: Generally viewed positively. During the last couple of decades most Beringovians have embraced the idea that multiculturalism is a defining national characteristic.

Section 3: Social Policy & Freedoms: What is the Legal Status of the Following Social Issues? (Note: Elaboration on the social attitudes toward any these issues them can be found in the second questionnaire)

The Elderly: Very well respected.

Gay Marriage: Not legally recognized.
Alcohol: Drinking age is 18. Must be 21 to buy hard liquor for off-premisis consumption. Hard liquor is taxed and regulated much more severly then beer or wine. Drugs: Except for alcohol, tobacco and caffene recreational drugs are generally illegal.

Prostitution: Illegal. A recent change in public policy is to treat prostitutes as victims rather than criminals.
Slavery: Has never existed in Beringovia since it was founded as a nation, though historically native peoples were sometimes treated as slaves during the colonial period. The government is currently cracking down on all forms of human trafficking.
Age Of Consent: 16. Persons may not be prosecuted for statutory rape of an underage person if they come within the "close-in-age" exception. The close-in-age exception is 60 months if the underaged person is 14 or 15 years olds, 48 months if 12 or 13 years old, or 36 months for if under the age of 12. Section 1: Arts & Society: What is your nations prominent views regarding the following: (Answer to your best ability. If you don't feel like writing much, feel free to simply write; popular/unpopular but anything you'd like to add, even pictures or musical links provided they are spoilered is welcome.)

How Does Your Nation View and Treat?

Artists: Generally well respected
Actors: Generally well respected, although Hollywood actors are often steriotyped as egotistical, pompious and susceptable to crackpot religious and political movements.
Musicians: Generally well respected, though successful popular musicians are sometimes subject to the same steriotype as Hollywood actors.
Clowns: Popular with children
Writers: Generally well respected
Intellectuals: Generally well respected, especially those who are perceived as not leaning too far to the left in their political views
Scientists: Generally well respected
Entrepreneurs: Generally very well respected
Industrialists: Generally well respected
Missionaries & Priests: Somewhat mixed. On the one hand historical missionaries are sometimes steriotyped as being heavy handed towars native peoples and disrespecting their culture. On the other hand it is perceived that they often advocated for the native peoples and protested the mistreatment of them. It is also well known that missions usually were the first to provide education and social services to the natives.
Foreigners: Generally well liked, especially American's and Canadians.

What Is Popular In Your Nation?(Note: By "Popular", We are asking what is the most popular form/genre/style in your nation. )

Popular Music: Vintage 80s American rock and roll is very popular
Orchestral Music: Russian composers are popular
Jazz & Swing Music: Somewhat popular, especially among urban intellectuals

Popular Food: Traditionally very similar to Russian food, though in recent decades their have been American influences as well.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Section 2: Ethics
How does your society feel about the following issues?

Public Nudity: Definately not acceptable. If you know what our climate is like you wouldn't want to walk around outdoors in the nude anyway ("buuurrrrr...")
Public Displays of Affection: Modest desplays of affection (holding hands, stealing a quick kiss) wouldn't merit a second glance. Making out on a park bench would likely be perceived as obnoxous, but probably wouldn't get you arrested. Having sex in a public place would get you arrested.
Gambling: Not an important part of Beringovian culture. Most Beringovians prefer to keep their money. Commercial gambling is illegal.
Alcohol: An important part of Beringovian culture, especially vodka. Unfortunately, so is chronic alcoholism, though there are signs that this is gradually improving. In recent decades there has been a gradual decrease in total alcohol consumption along with a move away from vodka and towards beer and wine, especially beer. In part this is due to government policies designed to discourage hard liquor consumption, and in part it is due to the growing influence of American culture. However, vodka consumption remains greater than other parts of North America. Among the indiginous population there is a tragic history of social problems caused by the sudden introduction by Russian settlers of strong liquor into cultures which had never become accustomed to it. For this reason alcohol is generally perceived very negatively within native communities.
Drug Use: Viewed very negatively.
Partying: Beringovian's love to party! Ever been to a Beringovian wedding?
Gun Ownership: In parts of rural Beringovia it would be unusual not to own a gun, if only to protect ones self against the wildlife. Even in urban areas it is relatively common, especially since hunting is a popular pastime. Keep in mind that Beringovia is a very large, sparsely populated country, with very few large cities.
Homosexuality: Traditionally viewed negatively. Attitudes are gradually becomeing more accepting, but most Beringovians would still be uncomfortable with viewing public displays of affection by gay couples even if they profess not to care what they do in the privacy of their own bedrooms.
Transsexualism: Regarded as weird
Pre-Marital Sex: Not considered socially acceptable, though most Beringovians are realistic enough to realize that it happens. For a Beringovian married couple, the first child can come at any time, after that they take nine months.
Family: Viewed as the rock-solid bedrock of Berinovian society.
Marriage: Veiwed very positivley, and as the only valid basis for a family.
Prostitution: Viewed very negatively
Charity: Viewed very positively
Competition: A certain degree of competition is considered healty for society, though you can have too much.
Cooperation: Considered healty. Beringovians believe that a healthy society maintains a balance between competition and cooperation, rather than falling entirely on one side or the other.
Privacy: Valued very highly
Intolerance: Generally viewed negatively, though there is still a great deal of intolerance towards what is perceived non-traditional lifestlyes.
Feminism: Most Beringovians support equal social and political rights for men and women, though radical feminism is often negatively perceived as denying the innate differences between men and women.
Racism: Generally viewed negatively
Honour: Generaly viewed positively. Beringovians like to believe that that they have a strong sense of national and personal honor.
Chivalry: Generally viewed positively
Social Darwinism: Generally viewed negatively
Religion: Generally viewed positiveily, and considered an important part of Beringovian culture
Spirituality: Generally viewed positively
Altruism: Generally viewed very positively
Selfishness: Generally viewed very negatively
Friendship: Generally viewed positively
Magic: Most Beringovians don't believe in magic

How does your nation view Volmachtia? Don't know anything about it
Would you consider an alliance with Volmachtia? We are fine with our current alliances, thank you!
Would you consider trade with Volmachtia? Sure.

General Information

Nation Title: The Eggman Empire
Form of Government: Personal Dictatorship
National Leader(s): Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik
Political Orientation: Totalitarian
Economic Orientation: Centralized

Politics and Governance:
What are is your nation's predominant view on the following; be as detailed as you please but a simple agree/disagree is adequate. (If you would, please answer directly after or below the bold brackets in normal font)

Section 1. Political Philosophy:

Democracy: An ideal soon to be replaced.
Representative Democracy: Ineffective, slow and doesn't really live up to its ideals. Still, the best ones tend to be worthy enemies.
Direct Democracy: It's to democracy what communism is to socialism. I doubt anyone will ever achieve that before I conquer the world.
Monarchy: Quaint and old-fashioned.
Absolute: Same as above.
Constitutional: Why not go all the way and destitute the royalty?
Oligarchy: Why have a bunch of leaders in collaboration when you can have only one and cut the pretense?
Republicanism: I concede it works, for the guys willing to put up with it.
Dictatorship/Totalitarianism: The eventual end of Man's desire for power.
Fascism: A hodgepodge of nationalistic crap, good for seizing power.
Anarchism: Stupid.
Anarcho-Capitalism: Is that even possible?
Anarcho-Mutualism: I don't know what it is, and I don't care.
Anarcho-Communism: Isn't communism already anarchic?
Socialist Vanguard State: What?
Theocracy: Can be an useful tool, as long as you don't start believing yourself.
Secularism: The rational way to go.
Authoritarianism: Good if you are the authority. Authoritarian followers are sheeple.
Libertarianism: An illusion.
Conservatism: A tool to preserve power, the reason why every group concerned with power is conservative.
Progressivism: Not to be ignored. The true leader recognizes the necessity of change.
Militarism: The military is a tool. NEVER let the army run things, it never ends well.
Pacifism: Like cattle willing to get slaughtered.
Nationalism: The greatest of all tools for power. A malleable abstract concept that can be used at will to trigger wars.
Internationalism: The eventual consequence of my world conquest.
Individualism: I am the culmination of individualism. The only individual that matters is me, the Eggman.
Collectivism: Everyone, let's pretend we don't think for ourselves and subordinate our wills to something vague like "the group"!

Section 2. Economic Philosophy:

Capitalism: Effective, to say the least. Unfortunately, while it turns greed into a positive force, it does little for Man's desire for power, and as such is still not an ideal system. Of course, we're bypassing the problem entirely by turning everyone into robots.
Communism: All people are equal, and supposedly they puke rainbows as well. Retch.
Socialism: An ill-conceived utopia. The Eggman Empire proposes a better one.
Free Market/Laissez-Faire Economics: No such thing as free market. The people who are ahead of the curve control the market. If you're willing to get screwed over if you lose, more power to you, but don't confuse things.
Mixed Market/Third Way Economics: It's a "free" market with one more player.
Centrally Planned/Controlled Economics: An useful tool.
Gift Economics: Is this a joke?
Traditional/Primitive Economics: Works for primitive societies, and not much else.
Agrarianism: Outdated.
Corporatism: May be useful to keep control of a businessman mafia, as long as one leaves pretty clear who's in charge.
Welfarism: Waste of resources.
Syndicalism (Trade Unionism): Workers should work and shut up. That's why we prefer robots.
Globalization: Our dream.
Free Trade: There's no such thing as free trade. The ones with power set the rules.
Fair Trade: Fair trade is only fair as far as everyone agrees that the guys on top have the right to screw the rest up.
Protectionism: Useful at times.
Feudalism: Unnecessary complication to the administration of an efficient country.
Environmentalism: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA no.
Consumerism: Good. Keeps 'em controlled.
Racism: Garbage, and soon to be rendered irrelevant.
Multiculturalism: Soon to be rendered irrelevant.

Section 3: Social Policy & Freedoms
What is the Legal Status of the Following Social Issues?

Private Property: Outlawed. All belongs to Eggman.
Freedom of Speech: Outlawed. Only the Eggman's opinion matters.
Freedom of Association: No specific law on the matter.
Gun Ownership: Robots are required to possess at least one functioning weapon. Humans are not prohibited to possess guns, but unauthorized use of them in public is illegal.
Abortion: No specific law on the matter, but no guaranteed rights, either.
Gay Marriage: No specific law on the matter, but no guaranteed rights, either.
Alcohol: No specific law on the matter, but no guaranteed rights, either.
Tobacco: No specific law on the matter, but no guaranteed rights, either.
Drugs: No specific law on the matter, but no guaranteed rights, either.
Cannabis: No specific law on the matter, but no guaranteed rights, either.
"Soft Drugs": No specific law on the matter, but no guaranteed rights, either.
"Hard Drugs": No specific law on the matter, but no guaranteed rights, either.

Censorship: None, but speech against Eggman is punishable by law.
Prostitution: No specific law on the matter, but no guaranteed rights, either.
Slavery: Technically legal, but rarely seen because robots tend to replace human workers.
Age Of Consent: Non-existent.
Freedom of Religion/Conscience: Going against Eggman in any shape or form is grounds for detainment or execution. Religion is not specifically prohibited, though.

How do your people as a whole view the following topics/people?
Politicians: There aren't any.
Musicians: Eggman likes some good music, and it's an important piece in the Empire's efforts to cause an impression.
Art: Every creation of the good doctor is a work of art.
Military: The foremost servants of the Empire, and the expression of its glory.
Religion: Irrelevant.
Freedom: Irrelevant.
The Clergy: There isn't one.
Your Leader: The Empire exists for him.
Entertainment: Irrelevant.
Happiness: Irrelevant.
Love: Irrelevant.
Government: The Emperor is the government.
Environmentalism: An obstacle.
Animal Liberation: Don't mention that.
Industrialism: It's what allows the Empire to exist.
Work Ethic: Work never ends.
Oil/Natural Gas: Any energy is good energy.
Green Energy: Any energy is good energy. Geothermal plants are particularly favored by the Empire.

Section 2

Freedom of Press: Irrelevant.
Freedom of Assembly: Irrelevant.
Freedom to own Guns: Robots are required to have weapons.
Freedom of Religion: Irrelevant.
Universal Human Rights: "Human" and "Rights" do not go in the same sentence here.
Feminism: Irrelevant.
Homosexuality: Irrelevant.
The Elderly: Irrelevant.
Social Support/Welfare: Irrelevant.
Illegal Immigration: Immigration is welcome, as that means more future robots.
War of Intervention: We want to take over the world. Do the math.

How does your nation view Volmachtia? A hellhole, ripe for conquest and roboticization.
Would you consider an alliance with Volmachtia? Not seeing the benefit.
Would you consider trade with Volmachtia? Why not? If there's something to be gained, the source is irrelevant.

When referring to this nation, please call it "Eggman Empire", thank you.

"Mobians didn't have any rights to the land and there was no reason for anyone to grant them rights which they had not conceived and were not using... What was it they were fighting for, if they opposed my industrial might? For their wish to continue a primitive existence, their 'right' to keep part of the earth untouched, unused and not even as property. As I brought civilization to this land, I had all the rights to take it."

Economic Orientation: Left

Politics and Governance:
What are is your nation's predominant view on the following; be as detailed as you please but a simple agree/disagree is adequate. (If you would, please answer directly after or below the bold brackets in normal font)

Section 1. Political Philosophy:

Democracy: A good theory, but quite often the People do not have their own best interests in mind, and their opinion should instead be used as a standpoint from which to base decisions.
Representative Democracy: Better than direct democracy, but still puts too much power into the hands of the generally whimful populace.
    Direct Democracy: See Democracy.
Monarchy: Technically our own system of government, though Orsalia goes about it in a different way. Instead of someone's bloodline being declared "Sacred" and putting unrivaled power into their hands, several candidates are put against each other in test of wits in order to prove their competence. The winner is selected from among them to rule till his life's end. For the most part, this has worked, though the occasional madman has abused the powers of the office.
Absolute: Only good when a competent and kind leader holds the power. Otherwise it can only lead to misery of the people and chaos for the nation.
Constitutional: Better for the people, though it sometimes makes it more difficult for the monarch to get things done. It's safer, but most certainly slower.

How Does Your Nation View and Treat?

Artists: Well-respected members of society. There are many museums and exhibitions where talented artists can show and sell their works to others. Orsalians admire beauty, so artists with talent usually have a reasonable standard of living.
Actors: Actors both of plays and movies are loved by Orsalia's people. The people love to be entertained, and actors are often the ones to do it. Depending on the success of their career, actors can be anywhere between the upper-class, or dependent on welfare and charity for survival.
Musicians: As previously stated, Orsalians have great admiration for things of beauty, and as such musicians of great talent are praised by the people. Most Orsalians dabble in the musical arts at least once in their life, and many have become fantastic players and composers.
Clowns: Though some view them as silly and a source of crude humor, clowns are still respected and loved by many an Orsalian.
Writers: Reading is a hobby loved by Orsalians young and old, rich and poor, weak and powerful. Because of this, writing is a profession that has as many customers as it has stories.
Intellectuals: Intellectuals are one of the most well-respected groups in Orsalia. It is because of this that their King is selected from amongst the region's greatest minds. Knowledge is power.
Scientists: Science is one of the government's main interests and is highly-funded and supported by both the King and the majority of the populace.
Entrepreneurs: The government has no spite towards entrepreneurs, though some of the people may feel differently.
Industrialists: The people are rather split in their opinion on industrialists. Some view them as greedy scum who are destroying the environment, while others see them as a necessary part of a powerful economy.
Missionaries & Priests: The government treats people of religion with the utmost respect, as it does all citizens, and for the most part, the people treat them likewise. However, there are a sad few who would rather see such people crucified.
Foreigners: Orsalia's government accepts immigrants and refugees with open arms, providing them with safety and occupation. They are occasionally blamed for some of the nation's problems, but the vast majority of the people greet them with the opened-arm friendship that the government shows.

What Is Popular In Your Nation?
(Note: By "Popular", We are asking what is the most popular form/genre/style in your nation. Not what is popular in the real world)

Popular Music: Music of all genres can be heard in Orsalia, though it is debatable which is the most popular.
Orchestral Music: Fairly popular, especially among Orsalia's elite.
Jazz & Swing Music: Also fairly popular.
Popular Dance: Dancing is quite popular in Orsalia, especially at parties and other social events.
Ballet: More popular than in some nations, but it's following isn't spectacular.
Theatre: Despite the rise of recorded cinematics, theatre has remained highly popular in Orsalia. The King himself is known to take time off to enjoy a play or two.
Opera: Opera has likewise maintained a level of popularity despite the years.
Popular Sports: Nearly all sports have a following of fans, but Orsalia is best known for its fencers and archers.
Gladiatorial Combat: Though the barbaric combat normally visualized when one hears the words "Gladiatorial Combat" has been outlawed, there are the annual Concordian Games, challenges of talent and cunning held in the nation's capital. These evolved from similar games held in the city's ancient Arena, where combatants faced off in tests of the three corners of combat: Power, Deceit, and Knowledge.
Popular Art: Art of all forms is loved and appreciated by Orsalia's people.
Modern Art: Same as above.
Traditional Art: Same as above.
Popular Fashion: Clothing styles of all kinds can be seen in Orsalia. The royal guard still wears the traditional armor of medieval knights, for example. Some even wear it when they go about their daily business.
Popular Food: Foods from around the world can be found in Orsalia's markets, though herb-crusted poultry is arguably the most popular dish.

Section 2: Ethics

How does your society feel about the following issues?

Public Nudity: Permitted by law, but is often restricted in privately-owned areas as well as being frowned upon by the populace.
Public Displays of Affection: Anything short of sex is perfectly fine in the people's eyes, but acts of intercourse belong in private enclosures.
Gambling:
Alcohol: Drinking is seen as harmless fun, and alcohol is often partaken in at parties, but alcoholism is frowned upon.
Drug Use: Legal in the case of drugs that don't cause crippling addictions/side-effects, but again frowned upon by society.
Partying: Loved by Orsalians one and all. Well, with the exception of the anti-social ones, that is.
Gun Ownership: Again, legal but frowned upon.
Homosexuality: Seen as acceptable by the vast majority of society. As always, there are exceptions.
Transsexualism: Same as homosexuality, albeit there is a tad less support.
Pre-Marital Sex: Legal and accepted by the populace.
Family: Anyone connected by blood or by marriage is considered a part of one's family. Family is seen as important by many Orsalians, sometimes even being the main reason for their decisions. Ironically, King Exsul has no knowledge of his family, as he was abandoned by his parents at a young age.
Marriage: Any consenting adults of any gender or sexuality may marry.
Prostitution: Legal, but seen as highly immoral.
Charity: Seen as a respectable source of generosity. The King however is saddened that charity is actually necessary, believing in a day when no one will be so unfortunate as to have their life hang on the kindness of others.
Competition: So long as it doesn't escalate to the point where it risks serious injury or death, competition is seen as a great thing, even a growing experience.
Cooperation: A wonderful thing.
Privacy: Everyone has the basic right to privacy.
Intolerance: Intolerance of another person for their race/gender/sexuality/religion/nationality/etc is seen as counter-productive to the progression of society at its best and detrimental to humanity at its worst. Intolerance of hatred and greed, on the other hand, are debatably good things.
Feminism: Feminism as in the push for equal rights between men and women is highly supported, but feminism as in the push for women to have greater rights than men is not quite so well-supported.
Racism: Completely opposed.
Honour: To live one's life with honour is perhaps one of the greatest things one can do.
Chivalry: Supported by men and women alike, though more of as an "It's a good and moral thing to help others" deal than women deserve to be treated better than men.
Social Darwinism: Considered morally wrong by the majority of the populace.
Religion: Perfectly acceptable, though it is highly disliked behavior for one to attempt forcing their beliefs on another.
Spirituality: Many Orsalians are spiritual.
Altruism: Spectacular.
Selfishness: Seen as a natural evil of humanity, albeit one that can be overcome.
Friendship: Wonderful.
Magic: Widely known to be simple trickery, though still a fantastic source of entertainment.

How does your nation view Volmachtia? Volmachtia is ruled by a tyrant who has stolen the rights of their people and spends nearly half of its income to further the chaos of war. The rest of its budget is spent on a police force to "keep its citizens in line" and to further corporate greed. The ethics of this tyrant are in near complete conflict with our own.
Would you consider an alliance with Volmachtia? Perhaps. If only to lower the risk of war.
Would you consider trade with Volmachtia? Yes. It would be against our own morals to refuse trade with another nation simply because of their beliefs.

Volmachtia has a generally mixed-to-negative view of Karmaimps, and while it practices capitalism and monarchism, it is also very lax socially and is ideologically opposed to Volmachtia in several ways. For this reason, Volmachtia has a "Live and Let Live" policy to Karmaimps.

Barring positives in the form of a mighty military, Volmachtian opinion towards the Darwinian Peoples is highly negative and critical, particularly due to constriction of religious freedom and practice of communist and socialist ideologies that have a very long and very, very bloody history in Volmachtia. For this reason, Volmachtia has a policy of "Avoid at All Costs" towards the Darwinians.

Volmachtia is less than pleased by Blues Bay, primarily because of a mixture of lax social policies, rampant atheism, and a general disregard for personal freedom. Like many others, you have jumped the gun and presumed that by our classification from outside forces, we are dictatorial- that is not the case. Needless to mention that you have stolen the cherished right of private property from your people, something we see as barbaric. Volmachtia has a policy of "Avoidance" towards Blues Bay.

Volmachtia has a largely negative opinion of Vorond. While we are in no way a police state, instead we are derided as such by the biased and excessively liberal and socialist World assembly, we maintain a great measure more freedom than those in your nation, certainly not limited to the protection of the people's right to faith which your ruler has so callously stamped out. Volmachtia has a policy of "Avoidance" towards Vorond.

General Information

Nation Title: The Federal Republic of Zeppy
Form of Government: Federal constitutional presidential democratic republic
National Leader(s): Antonius Ferrer of Latium, President of the Federal Republic of Zeppy
Political Orientation: Federalist liberalism
Economic Orientation: Market liberalism

Politics and Governance:
What are is your nation's predominant view on the following; be as detailed as you please but a simple agree/disagree is adequate. (If you would, please answer directly after or below the bold brackets in normal font)

Section 1. Political Philosophy:

Democracy: (Representative) Democracy is widely supported in the Federal Republic. It is the foundation of the Federal Republic, which considers itself "the aristocracy of intellectuals, serving and accredited by a democracy of the linguistic communities of Zeppy."
    Representative Democracy: See above.
Direct Democracy: Direct democracy is seen with suspicion by the people of Zeppy, and is only used in major circumstances such as for the approval of the populace for secession of a Canton and the Amendment to the Federal Constitution. It is more used in local, smaller levels of government, such as in the Municipalities of Zeppy with the Municipal House of Commons. Direct democracy is used but limited in Zeppy due to national fears of "mob rule."
Monarchy: The opinion of monarchy is torn in the Federal Republic. The Federal Republic of Zeppy is composed of 12 sovereign cantons. Six of these cantons are ruled by monarchs, while the other 6 canton are republics. As such, the citizens of the cantonal monarchs support (constitutional) monarchies while the citizens of the cantonal republics are known to oppose monarchies. While this may flare up in conflicts on the federal levels at times, to maintain the union of the Cantons, the acceptance of both system is common.
Absolute: All citizens of the Federal Republic oppose absolute monarchies.
Constitutional: "As such, the citizens of the cantonal monarchs support (constitutional) monarchies..."
Oligarchy: Oligarchies are held with suspicion by the Federal Republic. Even though many oligarchies are members of the "natural aristocracy" of federal officials, they are forced to live with strict regulations of their financials and live with fear that their federal constitutes may end their federal political careers simply because they are seen as "dangerous oligarchs."
Republicanism: Republicanism, as democracy, is the foundation of the Federal Republic. To many citizens, republicanism is considered to be the median between the democracy and aristocracy that is used to united the linguistic communities.
Dictatorship/Totalitarianism: Opposed, utterly opposed.
Fascism: It has been opposed by the Federal Republic but it has minor supporters in some linguistic communities. Although, it is usually hated.
Anarchism: Anarchism is seen as an utopia by the populace of Zeppy. Many Zepese are philosophical anarchist but see the necessity of the federal state to unite the conflicting linguistic communities in Zeppy.
    Anarcho-Capitalism: See above.
    Anarcho-Mutualism: See above.
Anarcho-Communism: Although, anarchism is supported by the idealistic Zepese, communism is opposed and hated. Therefore, it is hated and opposed.
Socialist Vanguard State: Socialism is mostly opposed. It is seen as pure tyranny by most Zepese citizens. A Socialist Party of Zeppy does exist, but it supports market socialism which allows it to garner some supporters in Zeppy.
Theocracy: Opposed. The Federal Constitution of Zeppy prevents the Federal Republic from creating a "national religion" but the majority of the Cantons have "cantonal religions".
Secularism: "The Federal Constitution of Zeppy prevents the Federal Republic from creating a "national religion"..." The Federal Republic of Zeppy is secular that protects the right of religious observance in the Federal Republic. Even though many cantons have cantonal religions, it is very limited with religious support.
Authoritarianism: Opposed. Opposed. Opposed.
Libertarianism: Libertarianism is most popular political philosophy in Zeppy and it influences government policy, even though the Libertarian Party of Zeppy has not consistently ruled the politics of Zeppy.
Conservatism: Conservatism is a very popular political philosophy in Zeppy and is usually influenced by Zepese libertarianism.
Progressivism: Social progressivism is a very popular political philosophy in Zeppy and is usually influenced by Zepese libertarianism. Economic progressivism is popular in certain lingustic communities of Zeppy.
Militarism: The Zepese populace believes in armed neutrality.
Pacifism: The Zepese populace believes in foreign non-interventionism.
Nationalism: Nationalism is used to unite the conflicting linguistic communities of Zeppy.
Internationalism: The Federal Republic is a proud member of the World Assembly but it is not a major supporter of international politics and the Department of Foreign Affairs of Zeppy usually espouses realpolitk foreign policies.
Individualism Supported. Most individuals of Zeppy see themselves as: "First, a free and independent person. Secondly, a member of a linguistic community, and therefore a citizen of a Canton (Clans) and/or Provinces (Tribe). Finally, a citizen of the Federal Republic of Zeppy."
Collectivism: It is second to individualism. See above and Nationalism.

Section 2. Economic Philosophy:

Capitalism: It is usually supported in Zeppy.
Communism: It is opposed, completely opposed.
Socialism: It is supported in the form of "market socialism".
Free Market/Laissez-Faire Economics: The support for the market economy is universal in Zeppy. There os major political discussion in the involvement of the government in the Zepese market economy. Most people support a very limited influence by the Federal Government on the economy, as laissez-faire.
Mixed Market/Third Way Economics: There is major political discussion in the involvement of the government in the Zepese market economy. Most people support larger involvement by the Cantonal Government on the economy to create a fair market with competing regulations and policies between the Cantons to produce diverse economic regulations and support in the several Cantons. The economy of Zeppy is highly free and is composed of private-owned corporations against cooperative-owned corporations.
Centrally Planned/Controlled Economics: Opposed.
Gift Economics: It is seen in some of the linguistic communities (Tribes) of Zeppy in Municipalities.
Traditional/Primitive Economics: It is seen in some of the linguistic communities (Tribes) of Zeppy in Municipalities.
Agrarianism: The agriculture sector of the Zepese economy is small, but in some Cantons, it is a major of the economy. The Zepese agrarian economy is highly free and is composed of competing cooperative-owned farms.
Corporatism: 'The economy of Zeppy is highly free and is composed of private-owned corporations against cooperative-owned corporations." Corporatism is opposed by Zeppy due to the support of market economy. Corporations are prevented from influencing Zepese politics due to the educated Zepese populace heavily controlling corporations with a variety of polices, involving boycotts, share holding control and the fact that corporations stem their existences from the Parliaments of the several Cantons that can "make or break them."
Welfarism: Little welfare policies are supported by the Federal Republic. The Cantons, on the other hand, usually provide welfare through nonprofit organisations.
Syndicalism (Trade Unionism): "The economy of Zeppy is highly free and is composed of .... cooperative-owned corporations." Syndicalism in the form of market socialism of competing cooperatives in a non-anarchistic mutualist economy is supported.
Globalization: As a union of linguistic communities, it is supported.
Free Trade: Supported.
Fair Trade: Opposed.
Protectionism: Opposed.
Feudalism: Opposed.
Environmentalism: Environmentalism through an efficient market economy competition is supported.
Consumerism: Opposed.
Racism: As a union of linguistic communities, it is opposed.
Multiculturalism: As a union of linguistic communities, it is supported.

Volmachtia is very pleased to see a kindred spirit of sorts on this Earth. Britanania reminds us in many ways of our glorious past when we dominated the planet, instead of bickering with our neighbors over lunar and interplanetary possessions. You hold God and Country high, which we all respect dutifully, and your highly conservative views and laws are, by any indication, proof of your culture and civilized society. Volmachtia has a policy of "Great interest and Diplomatic preference" with Britanania

General Information

Nation Title: The Most Serene Anarcho-Monarchist Realm of Distruzio
Form of Government: Anarcho-Monarchist
National Leader(s): His Majesty King Distruzio Antonio Medici
Political Orientation: Anarchist
Economic Orientation: Anarcho-Capitalist

Politics and Governance:
What are is your nation's predominant view on the following; be as detailed as you please but a simple agree/disagree is adequate. (If you would, please answer directly after or below the bold brackets in normal font)

Section 1. Political Philosophy:

Democracy:
    Representative Democracy:
    Direct Democracy:

The King is quite hostile to democracy in all its variations. He views it as a soft and corrupting version of socialism and the most sinister. Being an anarchy however, Distruzians enjoy the freedom of local self-determination. Each City-State, upon negotiating their charter with the King and the Church (both the Catholic and the Communion of Orthodox, Eastern Catholic, Anglican, and other churches) remains free to adopt its own peculiar political orientation. There are a small number of democracies on the western-most island of the Realm but, for the most part, democracy is highly resisted and openly condemned Realm-wide. Democratists are viewed with great suspicion and are best advised to avoid making their political orientation widely known.

Monarchy:
    Absolute:
    Constitutional:

Absolute Monarchies are considered, by the King, to be ill-advised and against the best interest of the people. Constitutional Monarchies are viewed in a more cynical light as the Monarchs tend to be trapped in a web of democratic institutions that each vie for control of both himself and his subjects. Antonio recognizes that the competition for influence among the several polities tends to allow for freedom of the individual subject, but his concern is well-founded given the decivilizing encroachment of egalitarian principles as they inevitably strip away the prestige of the Monarch.

Oligarchy: Neutral
Republicanism: Neutral
Dictatorship/Totalitarianism: Neutral
Fascism: Neutral
Anarchism:
    Anarcho-Capitalism:
    Anarcho-Mutualism:
    Anarcho-Communism:

Obviously the King is quite favorable to the anarchists and their varieties. He appreciates voluntary association for what it is, no matter the flavor - be it communist or capitalist. Among the various other forms of political associations, Antonio tends to view Republicanism as the most favorable of all the democratic political orientations. So long as a philosophical adherence to federalism is maintained, he finds Republics to be quite amicable. Oligarchy, Dictatorship, and Fascism each have their merits, and Antonio is not in the habit of casting the first stone. Therefore the King insists on an individualist basis for judgement when it comes to relations with particular regimes. Although he prefers anarchy, he is not above allying himself with a totalitarian regime.
