Geography
The nation, consist of a mainland and several islands. The mainland, is where most of the government administration and the general populace lives, and the islands are more conserved for the wealthy and tourism, with that said, most government offices and administration ARE located on mainland, as well as most spiritual and religious administrations too!
Climate
The nation has very bright and sunny weather, very hot! And because of it, also has a lot of tropical storms, and very severe weather, most people have adapted to the harsh and ever-changing climate conditions, there has been only 3 occurrences of snow in the history of the nation.
Government
Creloepia, is a democratic republic, despite the title, originally, the nation WAS an empire. The nation started out as a small village of like-minded individuals who shared a common interest for their religion, the small country they were living in did not allow this, so like anyone they rebelled, but failed, so moved out of the country and formed a new one. The country was too small and in the name of their gods, slow spread out, they claimed mostly islands rich in deposits of salt and other valuable resources, but also claimed more mainland. After the nation started to progress, and modern days arrived more civilized arrangements were made, and democracy arrived! One presidency term last 10 years. There is two main branches of government, law and administration, initially there was a spiritual branch, but after deciding it held no real government power it was removed. Like the pope, the nation has an opa, which is the nations spiritual leader, and is chosen only by the current Opa (it's mostly passed down by family).
Culture
The people of Creloepia, are of Greek decent and speak the Greek language, the language is slightly different, and so is the alphabet, but if an individual from Creloepia and Greek were in a discussion they would be able to understand each-other just fine. The people enjoy a standard amount of technology which is moderately controlled by the government, peoples favorite past time is sports, the nations national sport is football (Soccer, not American Football). The food consist of a variety of meats from the local animals, and live stock, which includes, beaf, lamb, equine, and a variety of other meats mostly served with a variety of tomato and avocado pastes.
Religion
As mentioned, the religious leader is the Opa, which controls how the nations spirtual matters are played out, the government has no control over religious matters, and the spiritual administration has no control over government. The religion itself is based off of Catholicism/Christianity but the beliefs are slightly different. If you asked someone what religion they were in Creloepia, they would say Christian. Heres the common belief, as stated in the Creloepian Bible, "God created the universe, and the worlds, to our universe he brought us light, and a place to be nurtured and grow" Another common belief "Salvation is a work of good deeds AND faith" not faith alone, nor good deeds alone, but instead you must reach and equilibrium, they also believe the teachings are their to teach you to be, kind, prosperous and well rounded. The religious buildings are known as worship temples, and the religious book is known as the bible. Not all people are Christan, but 88% of the populace is, the others are mostly religions foreigners practice.
Laws
The law and order division has a basic set of rules and laws, be we will only go over the most controversial!
Smoking Laws:
Smoking cigarettes is completely banned in public, people who chose to smoke pay higher healthcare rates and must do it in your house or you will be fined. Period.
Abortion
Banned, it's illegal! IF you don't want your child put it up for adoption, but you will not kill innocent life.
Murder
it's LEGAL! no just kidding you will be sentenced to death if you do it.
Driving
No persons under the age of 18 are allowed to drive on PUBLIC roads.
Alchohol
No persons under the age of 20 are allowed to be served or consume alcohol.
Lottery/Gambling
There is no public lotteries, and casinos are unheard of. They aren't banned just not popular, or maybe people are just well educated.
Defense
Land: Army, special ops
Water: Marines, navy
Air: Imperial Air Force,
--
All able bodied men between the ages of 25-35 must serve 3 months in any of the listed, not just combat missions! but you must aid the military in some way, for AT-LEAST 3 months. Or you will be fined, frowned upon, and arrested for 3 months.
Education
Public education is made available by the spiritual temples, public schools, and universities it's compulsory to get an education, you must be able to read, write, count, and speak, As well as do basic mathematics. Their is exceptions for disabled individuals.
Health care
Healthcare is provided by the government, always was, always will be. The amount is a fixed rate, but it goes up or down depending on good or bad health choices, if you are a normal fit individual you will pay normal prices, if you are alcholic/smoking obese bastard you pay x9 the amount, you are a disgrace go clean yourself up. Their are plenty of rehabilitation centers across the nation. (if you have a glandular problem, or a disease that makes you gain wait, this is an exception!)
Thanks
