Your nations safety commercials. MOVED.

Postby Saint Andrews Island » Fri Jul 08, 2011 7:01 pm

How does your government inform/frighten your followers into obeying road/rail/etc law? In Saint Andrews, the advertisement usually applies a 'no holes' strategy when it comes to advertisement. Which is why two thirds of safety information advertisements are given a past-9pm schedule to air. So how does your government do this? Post videos or whatever you can below!

NOTE: I DO NOT OWN ANY VIDEO BELOW. THEY ARE THE POSESSIONS OF THEIR RESPECTED AUTHORS.

Video #1: 'Cops' - A video that details the importance of adhering to speed restrictions even on less congested roads, this advertisement was given an all day airing.

Video #2: 'Excuses, Excuses' - This video depicts the 'good' driver as he goes about his daily life. Little does he know he has an abrupt ending. Although criticised early in its release as stereotyping buisnessmen as law breakers, this video was given a past 6pm airing schedule.

Video #3: 'Just a Pint' - Just a Pint was given the highest rating ever sinced it aired 2 years ago, banning it from broadcast until after a 9pm schedule. This video includes some graphic content which some viewers may find disturbing.

The state doesn't parent or coddle its citizens. People are expected to use common sense and act appropriately; when they do not, the consequences of their actions will be quite apparent, and then the state will be there to sigh loudly and roll its eyes at the individuals that knew better.

The Xanicean government teaches safety at an early age with actual police and firemen coming into classrooms with videos and movies demonstrating safety and the consequences of bad decision-making and accidents. Thus, our government has seen no need to remind our older citizens via media - you were taught the material, now you must make use of it. If a citizen breaks a law, he/she is responsible for his or her actions because the government already funded proper education on such topics.

100% of government spending goes to "stuff government spends money on."

I know. I am just as shocked as you are.

No, for that is a waste of much-needed government funds. Instead, we expect our citizens to have the common sense to know how to be careful. If anybody suffers from an accident, well, it's their own fault for being careless and stupid.
