Tax Ceiling

Postby Alkoul » Thu Jul 07, 2011 1:26 pm

Does your nation have such a thing?

Tax Ceiling: Where a persons or businesses taxes start at one point but (ex. 15%), and increase so much each year until they hit the ceiling in which they must pay in taxes.

Company A: Starts at paying 15% of their revenue in taxes increasing .1% each year until they hit the Tax Ceiling at 20%.

Yes we do have a Tax Ceiling.

No. Income tax is set at 49%, regardless of income. V.A.T, Corporation Tax and all other forms of tax also remain flat.

Um... I guess not.

Companies pay up like everyone else, every New Year.

I dunno why we would use such a thing.

Nope. Most people pay a flat 43%. If any person or business makes 300k-500k a year, they pay 53%. If anyone is dumb enough to go over 500k, they pay 100%. It's how I discourage greed.

It's not a commie scheme, just a convoluted one. You can tell because the tax rate isn't 100%.

Anyway, the Front Range has a good ol' flat tax, no gradual increase schemes.

33%, more would be unfair and kill growth.

That's not commispeak. This is commiespeak:

"Comrades, now that we are all equal, let us drink vodka!"

Anyways, that isn't a Communist scheme. Obviously, if Hippostania knew more about Communism, they would've known that. But more on-topic, Xanicea's citizens all pay the same income tax rate of 83% - flat income tax. It may seen a bit high, but hey, we give you free medical benefits, schooling, protection, and food. And if the people do not like our Socialist system, they are free to complain at the ballot.

The only tax ceiling in Tsvarchi is that an individual's overall income tax burden cannot exceed 64%.

Income taxes start out at 10% at the lowest income bracket and gradually works up to 40% for the highest income bracket. Short term capital gains are taxed using the same formula as income taxes, starting at 10% and capping at 40%. Taxes on long-term capital gains are cut in half, ranging from 5% to 20%.

Small businesses pay a flat income tax of 10% of annual earnings. Large businesses and corporations above a certain income bracket pay a progressive taks starting at 11% and increasing by 0.85% per year until it reaches 20%. So, in a way, yes. Valcluse does have a tax ceiling.

Class A industries/ business (Those which dont sell/ produce tobacco or alcoholic products) = 0.9%
Class B industries/ Business (Those which dont sell/produce tobacco products) = 50%
