Well, our nation isn't really corrupt or evil. However, one of the pre-federation kingdoms, Barzavia, was quite corrupt and evil. As in, a kangaroo version of the third reich evil, only a bit older. It was ruled by antilopine kangaroos, who are now quite properly, often stereotyped as nazis for fun.

To explain why. They carried the largest responsibility for the cause of the Great war, which caused the largest loss of life in the lands, that would later join the union known as the Federation of the Kangaroo Republic, through war circumstances. Not only that, but the antilopine kangaroos also persecuted the red kangaroos and western grey kangaroos in their occupied territories after the war. Often pinning the blame of various crimes on them and then presenting them with unnecessarily harsh punishments which included life imprisonment or even burning at the stake for stealing something as simple as a loaf of bread. Often, these people were quite innocent but were nonetheless either executed in their home towns, or were transported to the capital city known as Ordrio to either be imprisoned and tortured for the rest of their lives or tortured and then executed.

What made this even worse was that the other countries, Inbruk and Daevern which were the native countries of those who were receiving such ill treatment, could not do anything as they neither had the military nor the diplomatic power to stop them. Meanwhile, the kingdom of Vedorn, the most liberal kingdom of all was just sitting on its ass and wasn't doing anything, even when it had the diplomatic power to put a halt to these inmacropodine crimes. In fact, they only reacted when they got word that their own people who lived in these occupied territories were suffering the same fate. Which further proves that back then, the species were about as united as Belgium, with which I obviously mean not united at all.

So finally, the kingdom of Vedorn got off its ass, allied with the kingdoms of Daevern and Inbruk and ordered the kingdom of Barzavia to end their practices. The kingdom of Barzavia finally complied because they didn't want to face yet another great war. And since it would turn out to become a 3 on 1 battle, instead of a fairly weird combination of 3 separate wars that were inter-related, Barzavia wouldn't stand a chance at winning if they got into a war this time, and that is why they complied.

The end result: Thousands of kangaroos being barbeque'd alive; A couple of thousand more rotting away in prison untill they are old, wrinkly and broken because of the torture, only to be released with nothing but an official pardon; and the invention of half of all the derogatory terms for the various kangaroo species that live in the FKR that are used nowadays.

It's not just murdering a bunch of people, if you read the situation in context you would see that there was a valid reason for it.

They were bastard children, and had to be removed to allow the women to return to the Path.
And the protestors would have overwhelmed the mayors mansion (which they did anyway) so gas was the most effective way to put them down.

My Nation was once ruled by a dictator, and we often threatened nations and kidnapped any ambassadors that were sent, and either imprisoned them or killed them. We had a regime change in the form of a short Civil War, so the government is way different.
