kind of non-applicable, as at our federal level we don't use any currency but our dreams. literally. some villages each use their own form of local currency. even those are somewhat rare exceptions.

we have a culture that doesn't require our economy to be currency driven. nor fear driven either.
in this it resembles the prestege driven concept of potlatching. a more accurate depiction exists in leguinne's always comming home.

though our "millers" hold a somewhat higher status, and the twin institutions of craftufacturing library/centers and mathom houses also play a frequently central roll.

I'm guessing you don't have a particularly advanced economy, then? Or do all of your local provinces just have money? I wasn't sure, based on your post, since you suggested both.

Recession is hitting pretty hard I guess. I had already posted on here, but my nation's currency wasnt anywhere near as bad as it is now. Looks like we hit about $19 in the negative.
