Good vs. Evil

UEG - The Unified Earth Governments is a state that leans to the side of good, realistically there is practically nothing that can stop members from using their power in the UNSC to take out unwanted objects. The UEG however fights for what is right. It is anti slavery, pro choice, and fights slavers/pirates/etc at every turn.

If I may use a classic, D&D style alignment, than I'd say that Saikora is around the Neutral Good area. We don't go out of our way to maintain order, and we allow people to live the way they want to while maintaining equality.

Surprisingly enough, we're good. We have some evil tendencies, but for the most part we stick to the law.

[Wayland-Trust]

Nuetral.

Originally the purpose of the Trust was purely a colonial device for the Weyland Corporation/United Space to regain control of some of the colonies while making a profit and for the colonies themselves to survive.
Not unlike the English East India Company in the 19th century.

The purpose of the Trust has evolved over time a large part of this is still survival, specifically the survival of humanity against an increasingly hostile galaxy.
It might be a rather unsavoury organisation but it's better than: 'that which should not be'.

[Vistulange]

Vistulange is undoubtedly extremely evil. (I am assuming this is OOC, of course.) The society is divided into three classes very sharply - the Upper Party, the Lower Party and the average proletariat or citizens. The Upper Party enjoy all the luxuries life has to offer - good food, drink, comfortable homes and servants. Lower Party members eat and drink quite low quality meals and live in downtrodden homes. The proletariat are even worse, having only enough food and water to stay alive.

Economically, the State of Vistulange is strictly monitored. The state economy is composed of Four-Year Plans, which work surprisingly well. The concept of 'money' and 'free trade' have been abolished, with every person in Vistulange being issued rations on everything.

Civil rights are non-existant, with everyone being monitored via barcodes on their necks. The sign of slightest discontent is punished by execution.

I like this, so I'm stealing it.

The Fleet is without a shadow of a doubt evil, a nation built entirely on destruction and bloodlust.

At the same time, despite its rather...libertarian governance, there are codes and rules the fleet follows. Though they fight and kill, the people of the fleet endeavor to fight fair. Giving up overwhelming advantages, allowing those truly courageous and quick a chance to defeat them...almost, almost Lawful.

So I'd give them an LE alignment, myself.

[Sidhae]

Most humans would call Sidhae an evil species of cynical megalomaniac sociopaths with an incredible superiority complex.

We reject the notion of good and evil as understood by moralistic self-righteous hypocrites like humans. Our definition of good is whatever benefits our species as whole, and evil is whatever doesn't. Hence, massacring entire planets and reprocessing the bodies into raw materials will not be seen as evil, because it frees up living space to new, fitter and more sustainable populations of Sidhae, and the raw materials make a welcome addition to Imperial economy, while at the same time, killing or robbing a fellow Sidh is a capital crime because it is counterproductive to the cause and thus evil.

In fact, we reject many other things that humans think are so good, often simply because it's the humans that claim so.

Nordengrund is good (or at least tries to be good) and if our decisions are corrupt or evil, it is unintentional.
