The people of Condunum don't believe in soft music. Nothing short of Shock Rock or Hard Rock, and everything up, through the entire Metal spectrum. And yes, this includes -core music. Rap is completely unknown, save for rap metal and nu metal. Pop music, expect for a small number of pre-approved pop-punk bands, is illegal. Country is out too. The last time that was played was in the civil war of '97, which resulted in rednecks being banned from the country. Yup. Anything I didn't mention that isn't what I stated as being loved by my people is out.

Same here, though the Government may Intervene if a song clearly targets and unlawfully threatens a specific group, such as a minority.

No song has been banned specifically as of yet, but as per our controversial advertising regulations that, among other things, prohibit the use of the bandwagon effect, advertising jingles that use the tactic would be prohibited from airing in "segments of the media with a primarily commercial purpose" (that is, commercial spots between program breaks). As a result, some companies have taken to sneaking such advertisements on video-sharing Cyberweb sites under the guise of an entertainment venue, taking advantage of the loophole.

Technically, no song is actually illegal, although many people might wish they were. If a song is sufficiently horrid, singing it in public is a good way to get fined for disturbing the peace, but if you do it in the privacy of your own home and avoid causing a noise violation on other properties, it's not illegal.

We do not "ban" songs as that violates the Rights of freedom of speech, and would violate the Freedom of Music Act of 1976 which prohibits the Government from taking steps to making the sale of certain song sin Greto illegal, our Government now focuses on the illegal downloading of music online and shutting down sites that host these illegal downloads.

Terrorists, anti-government, and enemies of state songs are explicitly forbidden by the government, except in comedic and spoof purposes only.

The government has no authority to censor music; however, there have been a lot of public debates lately over music containing racist, homophobic, anti-semitic and other such forms of language. The mutlitude of court cases that have come up regarding "hate music" have all ruled in favor of non-censorship although a particularly heinous song which encouraged people to murder immigrants has caused quite a stir and the issue is still pending in our highest court.

Freedom of expression is a crucial element to a free society, and that includes music.
Players who complain about the inexperience of newcomers, but will only take part in an RP if it is closed, are a HUGE part of the problem they are complaining about.

Our Government, which has just been granted full sovereignty of our nation after a decade of allied occupation, is not allowed to restrict, censor, or modify any song, report, press, or any form of speech.

The Government is not allowed to intervene on free speech under the surrender terms we agreed to.

The surrender terms end in ten years and it is not known if the government will change its position at that time.

you have to give your people (some) vices, even in a Dictatorship.
Like Bad music or music that promotes some form of politically charged subversive dissidence.
Especially among the youth, or you’ll have a youth base that will look for these things whether you like it or not…and when they find it,
(it) won’t be under your control anymore.

and those are the facts

Only one song was ever banned. Black Korea, as it was found really offensive by the native population.
