I will.
I will take everything you say literally and to heart.
I will devote my life to hunting you down because of someinconsequentialcompletely life-changingly insulting comment you made half-heartedly on the internet.
I will look you up on the Yellow Pages and prank call you like there's no tomorrow.
I will empty out your local shop's stock of your favourite food.
I will take that last spot on the train when you're desperate to get to work.
You have been warned.

I know, but I can understand why Europeans, who have fought harder and longer than you Americans ever have, get annoyed at the suggestion that they cannot fight. Look at how the Poles did against the Germans, or how well the Fins did against the Russians, or how well the French actually fought, rather than what the stereotype says happened. After all, the stereotype says that the Americans were the sole reason why WW2 was a win for the allies.
Anyway, back on topic, what do people think about the USMCs partial replacement of the M249 with the M27 IAR? Do LSW/IARs with 30 round magazines have any place on the modern battlefield?

Besides: Most posters in this thread are Americans, and others who are non-Americans have no problems co-existing so shut that trap...

Dat weapon balance.
Looks good though.

Good point. What kind? I was thinking about an annoying, single shot bolt action one if I make one.
Make it a coilgun powered by more of those nuclear batteries you have. One round capacity, bolt action cycling. APFSDS round.
Make it so ludicrously hyper powered that firing two rounds in quick succession (lolwut) would probably melt the barrel.

IAR is designed for 150-round drum magazines iirc. There is a reason it is HBAR and has a reinforced magwell.

It's being initially issued with 30 round mags, though, isn't it?
I'd tend to disagree. At the minimum, I'd like to see it issued with a Magpul/Surefire style coffin quad stack mag (two separate columns with their own spring) or a polymer version of the Ultimax drum mag. A modern LSW should be able to lay down a good deal more suppressing fire than a standard rifle, in my opinion.

It's a coilgun. Electromagnets don't heat up, as far as I know.
EDIT: Oh, dat frixton.

Railguns, they're simpler and have fewer parts.
I was considering building a couple of railgun AT rifles for my own army when I got PMT enough, now I'm not so sure because of recoil. Hmm.
