To be fair. they were fighting other old Euros. But yeah I guess that proves something.

What? It was compliment.

He was an army officer who got his double promotion in two years, jumped with the GIGN and Foreign Legion, got a shiny medal, went to the two best military schools in all of France, and flew in his spare time.

I can assure you that he would disagree with your highly uninformed opinion concerning the combat effectiveness of the French Armed Forces. So would my ex-paratrooper granddad, my 2nd Armoured Division great uncle, my great grandfather who was in the Maquis, and my (deceased) other great-grandfather, who used to be a Zouave. People tend to forget that the French fought many conflicts both before and after (not to mention during WWII) the Battle of France; if that single defeat is enough to warrant the treatment of the French as a third rate military force, I think we can all safely assume that the combat record of the US in Vietnam would be reasonable ground for me to label the US Armed Forces cowards and incompetents.

Not really, the Europeans are great fighters. Of course, they did tend to use colonial troops as cannon fodder, but that was more so that they didn't have to send as many of their own troops to their deaths.

We did, twice. And the Italians will have their conflict someday. They were great once, maybe they will become great again.

Also Grip-pods, ewgh.

French kept the Bosche in their place in WWI.

You lost both world wars.

Italians will never have a war where they turn their heels and join the "good" guys, or let the Bosche fight for them, either.

Designer: Anakonda Arms Research, Voronezh Arsenal & Reich's Armaments Bureau
Designed: 2066
Manufacturer: Anakonda Arms Inc(weapon & all electronics) Voronezh Arsenal(ammunition & optics).
Produced: 2067- present(2084) yep, I'm PMT
Price: US$ 2.500, with four grenades and two magazines.

Specifications
Weight: 5.1 kg loaded
Length: 870mm
Barrel length: 770 mm
Cartridge: 7.62x19 "Blok" caseless round, 40x46mm grenades with shrapnel, incendiary or adhesive fill
Calibre: 7.62 mm
Sights: Adjustable scope with AI-enhanced aim, NV and thermal imaging.
Muzzle velocity: 1600 m/s
Effective range: 1.250 m
Rate of fire: Semi-Automatic/Three or five-shot burst
Action: gas operated electronic-assisted semi automatic.
Feed system: 90 round drum magazine.

This actually looks quite interesting. The only things I don't really like on it are the sights and the magazine. If you had a conventional magazine, and you enlarged the two P90 parts so that they had some clearance above the scope, it'd look quite good.
Now, work on lineart, dear boy

However, for the stats - 7.62x19mm? That's shorter than a Tokarev pistol cartridge of the same calibre. Why such a short round? It'll have short range and poor ballistics. What allows your weapon to have such an insanely high muzzle velocity and range? You'd be lucky to get 1600m/s out of an AFPSDS 120mm anti-tank round.

*prickly. Sometimes I swear Americans left their English behind in the wake of the Mayflower.

I swear I say this all the time. Taking criticism is fine, and I'll happily do that if there is a factual basis to it. As far as I'm concerned, though, you just spouted something that can't be justified in any way.

The point then stands.

French held the line against the Bosche during the first Great War. Cost them >10% of their national population at the time.

The only thing that made the Bosche win the 2nd time around was a superior officer corps. French officers at the time were inept, like Du Gaulle.

You mean an insult followed by a compliment? Because, really, with all the Americans going on about how they're the only ones who can fight and how they've saved the world so many times, non-Americans tend to get prickly when Americans start insulting them.
