8x64mm S is the largest military service cartridge realistically considered that I'm aware of tbh.

This should give you a general idea on the actual production price of firearms.

I had/have a similar feeling.

There is probably an issue proportionally.

Is it the lack of a front sight?

It might be the magazine, but this makes me think of a modern take on the Sig SG510.

Your optic also doesn't co-witness with your iron sight. I think you should add a front sight and lower your optic's base. If it fails and it isn't co-witnessing, you can't bet on the soldier having an allen wrench handy. Even if it's a quick-release, what the heck are they supposed to do with a malfunctioning optic? If it co-witnesses, it doesn't really matter. If it uses the red-on-black system that the PK-AS does, it would still have a black dot visible to aim with when turned off. So, even if the batteries failed on something like that, it would actually be just as effective assuming the environment wasn't too dark to use the little black dot. If it was, however, you could just use the co-witnessing iron sights. The PK-AS does not co-witness, but I'm sure you could put the black-on-red-dot tech. into a western low-rise 1x holographic that co-witnesses with the iron sights.

I'd say play a bit with the stock, the grip and the magazine.

The receiver is good as it is.

M1930 anti-armor rifle. Fires .50 BMG from an internal magazine of two. I may change it to single-shot later. Suggestions and criticisms, if you'd be so kind.

Accepts the standard bayonet.

This is a rifle that my friend Cyrupe and I are working on. It's probably going to fire either the 5.56 or the 6.5 Grendel.

I approve of the technical details. I wish my designs had our 14.5, 140 and 25mm guns named 'Another fucking gun'.

I'm not sure what Anemos will say.
