This is my PT alt. It's set in the Balkans in 1919. We use the Mosin as a service rifle for the reliability, availability, and cost effectiveness. Those are Dragoon rifles by the way. We use full length with PU scopes for our marksmen. This may be a slight plot hole though because I'm not 100% when the PU scope was developed.

Repeatedly states it's a WWII scope. Earliest scope it seems to list is a 1941 issue, and they seem to only have been issued with the 91/30 variant.

The serious experimentation with telescopically sighted rifles began in the mid 1920’s. Initial experimentation began by mounting commercial scopes then military contracted optics upon the m/91 Dragoon. (photo below)

They had scopes as far back as the American Civil War. (1861-1865) THey weren't that good, and yeah rang the length of the entire gun, but they existed. Their are stories of sniper tying down entire regiment during that war.

Getting there with the THR-288...

Just having trouble deciding how I want the stock to look. Ideally I want an adjustable stock since this is being issued to a bunch of different aliens with different distances between their shoulders and hands, but I can't picture a decent design in my head. I'm also unconvinced by the pistol grip. Originally it blended with the bottom of the rifle but then I hat to raise that a bit so the magazine would fit (I want it to be compatible with the mags from these guns) and now there's this silly looking bit sticking out the bottom. That'll be getting changed in the near future. The final version's also going to have rails on both sides as well.

The AR-2 is proving problematic. The AR-3/1 pistol grip is twice as steep as the original, and it's majorly screwing up the body geometry, as is the to-scale magazine and magwell.

So... with a muzzle nut, I could hit various targets yesterday with my WASR by aiming right on them. This was impossible pre-nut. This is awesome. Also, this means that that AK is now designated as my girlfriend's AK. However, it is also my project AK. I will be making a stock for it, sometime soon, and it will be a replica of something.

Thanks, although I'm just using PMG to make a mock-up of the design which I'm tracing over to create a new and unique gun. The final version won't have any PMG parts and only have a passing resemblance to the mock-up, sort of like these two except I expect the differences to be even more pronounced when I get this one finished.

EDIT: More or less settled on a stock design I like now. It'll get some editing as I draw it together but I've got a rough idea of how I want it to look now.
