OT-57 is literally Automatic Rifle 57.

Well...
I really shouldn't, but every term in my inventory is actually English (so I am using my native language, but not my nation's language).
They ought to be Russian.

So, SA-AR (Samozniy Arms Assault Rifle) ought to be SV-SV (Samozniy Vooruzhenie - Shturmovaya Vintovka) while SW-HAV (Samozniy Workshops - Heavy Armoured Vehicle) ought to actually be SS-TBA (Samozniy Seminary - Tyazhelyĭ Bronirovannyĭ Avtomobilʹʹ), at least according to google.
This would cause issues, as both Assault Rifle and Sniper Rifle, when translated and abbreviated, are SV.

I use a mishmash of designations; like 90% of everything I use is imported from someone, but since they aren't the same people and Indeos' government doesn't have enough regulations to standardize a designation system it ends up being needlessly confusing. I know I use RB, Anemos, Yohannes, Para, Argent & Zhou (myself and DaiHan), and Fisch's stuff. (Plus Ott's ammo, Gawd's medieval stuff, a few of Byelorussian SSR's PMGs, and much more.)

Hodori uses its own designations, though they're derived from a conlang and phonetic approximations of foreign words in said conlang.

TR = Tase Raifa = Combat Rifle
KR = Karaifa = portmanteau of karamo raifa = Precision Rifle
ZG = Zogan = portmanteau of Zogai gan = "Hand Gun" = Pistol
MG = Mashingan = Machine Gun
TG = Tana Gan = "Splinter Gun" or "Fragment Gun" = Shotgun. Confusingly, it can also refer to fragmentation grenades (Tana Ganadu)
GK = Ganadu Kageri = "Grenade Thrower" = Grenade Launcher
GR = Ganadu Raifa = "Grenade Rifle" = Rifled Grenade Launcher
TK = Tase Kari = Combat Knife
GKMG = Ganadu Kagemo Mashingan = "Grenade-Throwing Machine Gun"

An "S" prefix stands for Sai, meaning "short" or "small" in Hodoran, and usually indicates either a sub-machine gun (SMG; Saimashingan), or a compact variant of a larger system (The underslung STG18 shotgun, for example, which is ICly a massively cut-down and modified variant of the TG18 combat shotgun).
Any numbers attached to the end indicate the weapon's nominal caliber in millimeters. In the case of the TK20, the number indicates the blade length in centimeters. As Hodoran lacks a proper decimal point, a dash is used instead in weapons such as the STR6-5 or TR7-5. A designation such as 'ZG9S5' means it is the fifth version ("S" in this case means Sagemi, or "Version") to receive the 'ZG9' designation. If a 'TG' does not have a number attached to it, except in the form of 'TGS#', it is a fragmentation grenade.
An "R" prefix means Rota, the Hodoran word for either "Rotor" or "Rotary", and indicates a minigun or similar system. RMG therefore means 'Rotary Machine Gun', which is your bog-standard wall-of-copper-jacketed-lead dealer, and RGKMG is more or less the RMG, except with grenades.

The scope is also a mockup of a combi-scope/guncam/holosight which is going to become standard when I get it drawn.

Okay, so before I go to Sicily later today I have taken Ularn's advice and begun making a weapon to line-art. Below is the WiP as it stands atm: the top is my working piece, the hand-guard/rail-bit is based on PMG but mashed about with Paint until it is entirely unrecognisable and the bottom is the weapon at the point I stopped using PMG and began using Paint.

Thoughts so far?

I'm planning on going for an excessively modular approach, so I could (maybe) outfit my entire armed forces in any fire-arms capacity (except pistol and shotgun) with it. So it'll be able to change the hand-guard, barrel, chamber, bolt and magazine well to create a .280 British assault Rifle, a .338L sniper rifle, a .45ACP SMG and everything in between.

Intersting. It's not exactly what I was meaning. You seem to be starting with part of a PMG design and then drawing in the rest freehand. What I was really suggesting was that you try tracing a gun that you've already made in PMG, after which you can colour it and add bits as you like. For example; here's the process as I'm going it for the THR-288:

So to start with we've got something I threw together in PMG. It's fugly, with no blending, and I'd never show it to you guys as a finished product. On the other hand, it does look vaguely like what I want the final gun to look like, so it's good enough for a start. Time to open this in Paint.NET and get to work...

Paint.NET has a function where you can add layers to a drawing, sort of like placing tracing paper over a picture in real life. You can see what's on the layer below and also draw on it without actually changing what's underneath. This is where I've got to so far in tracing the design. You can see I'm following the general shape of the Mock-up but deviating over bits I don't like. For starters, I don't like the curvy F2000 pistol grip, so you can see a lot of deviation there since my final design will have a straight rubber grip more in line with my other designs. I'll also be changing the magwell to fit the magazines I've already designed and making the stock a bit more boxy.

I can also hide the mock-up to get a look at my tracing on its own. Here you can see my gun generally beginning to take shape. Once this is done, I'll copy the tracing into MSPaint (only because I'm more familiar with it; Paint.NET is probably better once I get the hang of it) and I'll start the colouring. To do that I'll cheat a bit by copying the shaded blocks from PMG in the colours I plan on using and then using the colour selector tool together with copy paste to get the shades and gradients that I want. And after that it's done and ready for the storefront!

But I'll be interested to see how this turns out for you.

Ah, right! I understand what you mean now! I'll probably continue with this method, then go over it with that one once this one is finished, so I can decide which I prefer. Atm this still looks like a PMG design even though it's nearly line-arted.

I had one of those as well once. The comments are a bit out of order because I posted in the wrong reply box a few times, but after me giving him some advice I was actually told explicitly that he'd rather I just called it shite instead of offering any constructive criticism!

I commented on a few of his other guns as well if you're remotely interested in checking his gallery.

EDIT: Actually, just do yourselves a favour and never enter Pimp My Gun into a search on DA. It's like someone took the most ridiculous designs seen on this site and then gave the designers brain damage or something. Even UAWC's designs start to look feasible in comparison.

It's impossible to hold with the stock in place, and .50AE is a shite round. I probably mentioned a couple of other things, but lolno was he going to listen to me.
