I love AKs, but I am not a fan of the AK-12's appearance. I do have to draw a line somewhere. ;)

It is, however, still better looking than the SUPER ELITE TACTICAL LOW-DRAG (it's called something else; I forget) Krebs rifle (their other rifles are actually custom-built and freaking awesome, so don't use this to brand the entire Krebs company):

(Krebs is considered one of the best custom AK companies, by the way. I just find the above product to be an abortion in the looks department.)

No, but I can't decide which is worse.
I think MW3's is objectively worse by physically existing in the game though.

But Spree's right, this does look horrible. But I really like the AK-12.

When my parts get in and I install them on my SGL 21-94, I'll make up for that post by posting a proper "modernized" AK.

I'm very much looking forward to it and the parts should last a lifetime: I went with the best on the market (and the $400 price tag shows it). I find the parts to be slightly over-priced, but what the hell can I say? I bought a limited edition Arsenal AK for $1,300.00, so obviously prices are no concern to me... maybe... no... This hobby will kill me. :(

Looks like my van's going to have a parking space down by the river if this keeps up.

By the way, I have talked with a guy who made his own wooden side-folding stock. His first one broke on recoil, so he beefed up the internal reinforcements and hasn't had any problems with the new model. I plan on making my own eventually because Holy scrotum, Batman! Wood furniture and a folding stock!

Wooden furniture does not belong on anything more advanced than a bolt-action rifle.

You obviously hate America.

I love the look of wood on a firearm. There are some that would look funny with it, granted, but there are others that don't look that bad with it. The M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, AK-series, and FAL come to mind. Granted, you can find synthetic stocks for literally all of those, I still prefer the look of wood. It makes them more comfortable on the eyes and I'd trust to use it as a melee weapon far more (even if synthetics do hold up well to their wooden counterparts). Wood vs. plastic basically comes down to looks and weight.

Great AK-200 discusion.

Ok ANyoen have advice on this?

Image

The Kerberus can be folded and carried like a big bag. To fire, its back part have to be unfolded and loaded with ammo. The front door have to be open and the shooter can add an iron sights/ scope to the side he use to shoot (left for right shoulder, right for left shoulder).

Despite the weight and cumbersome appearance, the Kerberus is recoiless, and the shooter hardly feels the weapon moving while shooting, allowing a teammate to rearm and add new ammo by the back of the gun, without losing sight of the target.

Kerberus can fire any 90mm ammo, including TPA warheads and anti-tank HEAT missiles, but its more powerful with the standart Kerberus 3 stages gyrojet missiles, the HADES ammo.

HADES ammo is made of three gyrojet rockets fit together in a artillery case. It fires from explosion inside the Kerberus, and when the internal system detects the rocket reached terminal velocity, it activates the internal fuel system. When the first stage fuel is out, it detaches and a second fuel system engage. The third and last stage is a warhead, usually filled with flechette (anti-infantry) or solid tungsten (anti-armor). It also can be exchanged for TPA incendiary warhaeads or even small nuclear capsules (Dirt bomb).

The HADES ammo, used with the Kerberus, can reach up to 10 km (or even more if shot in angle), but it cannot correct its course in the air, so the range is restricted to sight and direct aim, or artillery fire by coordinates and angle. It can fire 4 HADES rounds at once or one per second

Gyrojet pistol rounds sucked because they were rocket-propelled. Drastically more accurate (for a while until they FUBARed production), they had a slower muzzle velocity than the muzzle velocity at any other given part of its travel. That being said, your projectile would be moving slower towards close targets and faster towards distant targets.

They also had the advantage of much lower recoil, since there was less force used to propel them out the muzzle. (I like the idea of gyrojet snipers, because they'll theoretically have long enough range to reach maximum velocity.)

The only problem I can forsee is potential target-leading issues. That's really about it.

EDIT: With training, this is a non-issue. So, rockets should work perfectly fine for what you have shown. I guess I was talking more about closer-range firearms (pistols, SMGs, etc), so nevermind.
