What.

Pretty much if you come up with a strange idea, you state the idea in a sentence and end with y/n, or sometimes y/y. Y stands for yes meaning make it, N stands for no meaning don't make it.

I watched an episode of Wild West Tech with that featured earlier. I'm just gonna go ahead with the belt-fed lever-action SSW idea. Cartridge suggestions, anyone?

Altamirus wrote:Indeos, what page is that picture of the bullet with the steel strips in it on?

I don't know what gives you the idea that I'd know that off the top of my head. Just because I've read every page doesn't mean I have an encyclopedic knowledge of every page.

That sounds rather pointless, like a delayed shotgun effect. Gyrojet machine guns aren't particularly advantageous, either.

Oh. He means a machine gun filled with needles and an explosive charge, when the bullet hits something it explodes and sends shards of metal into the target. I will say that it is an awful idea for such a large caliber gun, and probably any gun. Fragmentation and yawing are overrated, just use hollow points an make a single big hole and a lot of trauma.

So I'm working on this 5.56mm bullpup.

It's gas operated, with a short stroke piston and a rotating bolt. It has a 610 mm barrel to get as much out of the 5.56 as practically possible (Yes it fires the .22 NATO DWI). OAL is ~890 mm.
It uses a 20 round plastic magazine to make the weapon less awkward to use when lying down. The charging handle (under the carrying handle) can be removed with a screwdriver and attached on the other side for left handed shooters. The flash hider is missing because of the 900 pixel limit.

What I haven't decided is whether to use a progressive trigger or a fire selector.

Any advice?

If the charging handle is onto of the receiver under the hand guard why bother unscrewing to charge the side it would be no effort to make it easily pulled using either hand.

other than that there isn;t much to say as its an idea that already been done to death.

So, belt-fed lever-action rifles in .314 Iscariot for squad support, 10 and 12 gauge revolver-style paradox guns, 10mm Auto machine pistol sidearms, and an assortment of close-combat weapons pretty much covers FanT Indeos.

So yeah, I have decided on one of two sizes for my AT rifle, either 8.5x105mm and 15.5kg or 20x135mm and 45kg.

Damnit I look like a douche again.

So two new caseless rounds as follows:

4.8x20 mm & 9.6x40mm, since I can't measure length as well. :meh:

Here's a comparison between the two rounds.

The aluminium tipped bullet needs more aluminium. As it is, you've just made it into a ballistic tipped bullet (which, mind, isn't so bad if you don't want barrier penetration). I reckon that about a third of the bullet's length should be made from aluminium, and the jacket should be a tad thinner too, to promote fragmentation.

It is PT, hence calling it an AT rifle instead of an AMR. If it was MT I would probably go 10x180mm caseless telescoped firing flechettes or something.

Screw that, go down the swiss route(because anything swiss is always better) of 24x138mm at 53kg (130kg+ gun for gun a tripod/trailer with bicylce hitch point)

Can't be beaten by the Swiss, new choices are 25x150mm and 8.5x105mm.

Did you find that thread you mentioned? I looked but failed.

Also, if you want a PT AT rifle why not go with something so over the top that everyone will laugh at you, until you punch through their tanks like they were tin cans. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lahti_L-39

25mm on a rifle is way over the top.

25mm on a rifle is way over the top.

Hence my useage of it, at close ranges I can punch through the frontal armour of lighter medium tanks up until the early 40s, and can punch through the sides and rear probably well into the 50s
