Internal Disputes

How do you settle interior disputes in your nation?

Well, the question might be clear. At the first glance this kind of problems might be more relevant to federal nations, but also Unitarian countries which may not have “member states” must find their way, as internal disputes may occur also in nations that have administrative districts with fewer autonomy rights, such as districts or provinces.

How would your government react on problems like the following?

Note: The neutral term “area” is used for member state, province, district, prefecture or whatever organization you have. In extremely Unitarian/centrist countries, the term refers to a geographical or cultural region which may share a common history.

The term “government” means a central government, which maybe of any type, such as a federal authority with limited power, a centralist government/presidency or the crown, etc.

• A dispute between the government and an area
• A dispute between two or more areas

Examples:

An area’s representatives understand law differently from the government.
The government wants to drill for oil and/or divert money against the will of an area.
Two areas battle over tax money or cultural goods.
