The "Truths of Aum" new religious movement is by far the most prolific domestic terrorist organization. Founded in 1972 by a blind Buddhist monk who had adopted the name of "Aum," the movement attracted many depressed and disenfranchised folk seeking a spiritual experience for meaning in life. Though initially a movement for peaceful spirituality, Aum’s actions and narcissism began to attract negative attention from his peers; after a wild orgy involving his followers, Aum was ostracised by his fellow monks for violating the faith in 1983. Using his expulsion to his advantage, Aum told his followers he had reached enlightenment and had chosen to wander alone. His fellowship grew; Aum’s easily corrupted mind became megalomaniacal. Aum's depravity grew and twisted, turning him into the self-proclaimed Buddha and Christ of the modern age. By 1990, Aum and his movement believed only radical societal change could bring about a new Holy age and that sacrifices were needed to fuel spiritual powers.

The following five events are attributed to his cult. Aum and his closest confidants are awaiting execution - the only people to ever receive the death sentence in Yasashii's history. These executions have been delayed over their controversy, despite capital punishment being wholly legal.

Zama Bus Bombings
-August 15th through 21st 1992: 3 busses carrying tourists to the slopes, villages, and shrines of Mount Atami and Mount Sume National Parks were bombed with IEDs. 15 killed, 33 injured.

Hino Homicides
-January 19th, 1993: 3 dismembered bodies, 1 drowned victim dumped on the grounds of Hino International Airport during a ritual blessing of the grounds by Shinto and Buddhist priests.

Machida Massacre
-July 15th, 1995: 230 killed, 35 injured/hospitalized by sarin gas at a public meeting hall where anti-extremist professors were holding a public awareness campaign. Victims were barricaded in by Truths of Aum members.

Daiju Metro Attacks
-May 12th, 1996: 95 killed, 761 injured/hospitalized, 2,307 temporarily blinded during the sarin gas attack on the Daiju subway.

Daiju Train Bombings
-September 3, 1998: 2 killed, 11 injured when an IED exploded prematurely at the Daiju Grand Shikasen Station.

Depending on how you look at it it, there is either no religious fundamentalism, or all religion is fundamentalist. Our holy writ was deliberately wirrten in terms as unambiguous as possible to preclude the possibility or alternate interpretations. There is one truth and no disagreement.

Religious Fundamentalism is not very normal here, Vecherdian Reformed Judaism which about 75% of the population follows is a very liberal for of Judaism. Christians(7.8% of population) and Muslims(0.07%) are known to be Fundamentalists.

The 2010 Cairlinn Hotel Bombing was by Islamic Fundamentalists, 769 people lost their life.

Religious fundamentalists of all denominations are generally regarded by the public as lower than capitalists, communists, and national socialists.

In general, this is a bad country in which to be a to be a Bible-humper.
As we speak, the Libyan people are being

legitimate government. The elderly, women,
children... everyone in Libya is in danger tonight.

Religious fundamentalism is very rare. In general, religious organisation is actively repressed by the state and fundamentalist organisations moreso.

However, some fundamentalist sects are, while not promoted, ignored. The largest of these fundamentalist sects are the amish (175 000 adherents, nearly exclusively in Regional Soviet #15 in western New Freedomstan). As long as they deliver their quotas, and don't engage in anti-socialist agitation, they are left to their own devices. The amish have applied for, and been granted, the request of their Soviets consisting exclusively of amish adherents (including 2 District Soviets). This has made the Amish more or less the only kind of organised religious community with any sort of authority.

Any kind of violent religious fundamentalism is punished severely, and mostly lethally, however.

As doctrine.

Are there any notable fundamentalist groups in your nation?

Now that you mention it, there is one rather notable group. It's called the government.
