The Royal Bodyguard Corps is the most honored and respected military unit in New Glennland. The Royal Bodyguard Corps' primary functions are to protect the royal family and the New Geneva Citadel (the heart of the Glennlandic state and also their home station) and to perform military tattoos and other ceremonial functions. The Royal Bodyguard Corps is publicly seen in full dress uniform and has its own anthem and regimental church in the Citadel.

Their armor is composed of a metallic-fluid body suit that stiffens in the area of impact when an electrical charge is sent through it. Their back stores a 60 cell supercharged lithium ion battery pack that recharges from movement and powers the armor and the active camouflage. Their helmet houses a heads up display that shows objectives, team members, ammo count, and has two extra vision modes of thermal and ECM. Their suits are armed with two wrist swords for close quarters and analog muscle fibers to strengthen the soldiers. They are armed with sub-sonic coil rifles that fire electric kill shells that overcharge a persons nervous system making their muscles go completely limp not allowing the person to flail, scream, or call for help. Most Wraiths prefer to go into combat with their cloak on. Their cloak is an extension of their body armor and is active camouflage ready and is made from nano fibers with a strength 60 times that of steel.

Over all the wraiths are one of my most expensive military units but their influence is far felt. Their invisibility and secretiveness allows them to blend in with any facet of society and their skill is invaluable in combat and for precession strikes; making the Nebulain Alliance's Wraiths one of the best special force units in the world.

That depends on what you mean by "advanced," my friends. For example, the Telecommunications Battalion of the Army is quite stunningly well equipped and trained.

Sciox Ranger Corps

A unit of less then a thousand highly trained men and women, the Ranger Corps was founded in the 800s to serve as the military intelligence arm of the Sciox Imperial Army, trained in teams of four they would disguise themselves and move amongst the enemy, sowing discord and gathering intelligence so that when the Army arrived they would strike like a hammer upon glass. The Rangers quickly garnered reputation as excellent assassins and marksmen, first with bows and later with firearms.

In modern times the Corp's mission remains very much the same, making use of false identities, foreign journalists are a popular cover, they operate far into enemy territory, gathering intelligence and harming enemy morale, however they also have taken on a more commando role performing sabotage, hostage rescue and black out military operations. The Rangers however still emphasize their four man teams and marksman while in inter service training, Marines will often complain of Rangers wiping the floor with them in hand to hand combat.

In the overall Sciox military hierarchy, the Ranger Corps's Supreme Commander is a voting member of the Military Council, Sciox's highest military command, and the Corps has access to it's own independent funding for operations and research and development. The Rangers also make use of much of the same equipment as the Marine Forces which has allowed the Corps, despite it's smaller budget, to deploy several technologies and equipment that will not likely see service in other branches of the armed forces for several years due to cost. Some examples are the XIAE-1 exoskeleton armour, which due to power constraints has only been found useful on quick response missions, and the ODP paradrop kit, which allows for deployment of a team of Rangers from an XF-90 Apollo space plane.

Sciox Air Force Space Domination Command

Increasingly in recent days the Sciox Military Council has come to realise that the key to dominating the battlefields of the future is to maintain domination in Earth's orbit. To this end, the Council created the Air Force's Space Domination Command, commonly referred to as SDC, a mainly R&D unit dedicated to ensuring Sciox's uncontested control of the final frontier for the foreseeable future. Already since it began operations in 2002, SDC has made huge strides in ABM defense, reusable heavy launch vehicles, rapid response weapons systems and round the clock intelligence gathering capabilities. The pinnacle of which is the Olympus Strategic Battle System, an array of orbital weapon platforms, surveillance satellites and ground bases, due to be completed in 2013 with the deployment of the last of six Regent class carrier satellites, which will provide an orbital base for the XF-90 Apollo combat space plane as well as staging grounds for civilian exploration of the solar system.

However although much of what SDC has accomplished and are currently working on is heavily classified, the unit's existence and the amount of funding it consumes is not and there have been multiple calls in among the Representatives to have the SDC disbanded however it's value in the eyes of the military has lead to the Council threatening to veto more then one politically motivated piece of legislation.

My nations elite force is the "Wächterschlangen" or "Guardian Serpents."

The Special Forces Elite for the Heavily Armed Republic of Vigilantes And Knights. The warriors vow to do nothing but protect the innocent and destroy any who would seek to destroy them.

The law of the land states that all orphans at the age of 12 that have not been adopted are put through a series of tests. Tests to see who is strongest, bravest, smartest...and of good heart. The last one is a must have, or they will not pass the screening.

From there, they are trained hard for many years and are taught the lessons they need for war and peace and the value of honor.

On the battlefield, the "Guardian Serpents" are unequalled. Equiped with bullet-resistant mesh, armor plating and the best weapons money can buy, these brave men and women are feared by lowly criminals and tyrannical leaders alike.

To keep the soldier in check, he or she is allowed to leave the force once they reach the age of 28 and again at 40. From there, the are given the chance every 5 years until eventually they are forced to retire at the ripe age of 60. Those who serve passed 55 are given a Distinguished Medal of Justice and the government gives them a special land grant out in the countryside.

But whether they continue to serve or not, they are sworn by oath to protect the weak and fight all evil until the day they die.

We have two branches of special forces: the Firehand Jungle War Task Force, and the Firehand Urban Assault Force. Both are counted among the world's best in their speciality areas(forest/jungle and urban warfare).
