Introduction
With the restoration of the Kah'ranate in 1993 after decades of turmoil, it is suffice to say that north Yvenia is safe to travel freely in. However, insurgents continue to dot the south, and thus it is not recommended that tourists venture far from the cities of Jarazi, Riyuil, or Nihrubi. Nevertheless, the tourist is encouraged to try out Yvenia's cultural heritage and to enjoy themselves within this tropical nation.

Geography:
The Yvenian peninsula is mostly covered by rainforest, though deforestation is beginning to take its toll as classified operations rise within the hearts of darkness.

Along the northern Yvenian coast, shipping, commerce, and fishing are the top three activities. Though sugarcane is grown along the Yvenian coastline, most of the annual yield of sugarcane is produced within the River Valleys. As the Yvenian Peninsula is a tropical-wet region, other produce such as mangoes, bananas, and apples also flourish within the Yvenian Interior. The absence of locusts and other plant-parasitic insects also ensures that crops grown within the Yvenian Peninsula are perfect for consumption.
As the Yvenian Peninsula is a tropical wet region, mosquitoes and ticks are rampant within the interior despite the recent production of chemicals such as DEET and Citronella oil for domestic use. Diseases such as Malaria and South Yvenian Hemorrhagic Virus (SYHV), or the Red Plague; are considered a substantial threat to non-natives within the interior of the rainforest regions of Yvenia. Thus, tourists whom are not on prophylactic drugs against Malaria and SYHV are discouraged from venturing beyond the interior city of Amiers due to the high mosquito populations which lurk within the nearby swamps.
