Father Knows Best State

[The Citadel can be seen on the horizon (only decent picture I could come up with, just minus the flying vehicles and apparently under-city)]

(FT) The Highest building in Ravania is the Grand Citadel of the Imperium located in the capitol city Theden, measuring in at roughly 9400 feet, or 770 stories, respectively. It houses the residing Lord, their staff, and noted military personnel in its upper levels; Private facilities, such as the government run oganization RavaCorp and its many lab branches, in its median; and many public facilities, such as the Museum of the Imperium and Theden's trade centers, in its base.

(MT) Though the citadel still stands, it is still under construction, having yet to break one mile in height. Even in its current state, it remains the political and economic trade center of Ravania.

[OOC: I understand it's probably not the best idea to balance so much of national importance on just one building, but come on, every dictatorship needs a Citadel. It's like a rule or something.]

OOC: By British standards, yes, but in the US its more commonly written as Story with it's respective plural form, so technically, both Storey and Story is correct.

I understand your anger, but you misunderstood as Epic did not give any background info. There was recently a 9/11-style attack done on that building. This is the thread.
http://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=24828 There is also a full news story about it here. This was our reaction. Hope this clears up anything. Whenever I watch RL 9/11 videos I am always shocked. Even if it is the 1,000th time. It looks like something out of an apocalyptic movie. I can never believe it to be real. I am sorry for the confusion.

Yes my mistake, feet not metres, I always mix the two up

do you think that is funny. i lived in the bronx when it happened, i could see the smoke. it was a horrible day, and to even reference it like that is crude and tacky.

now that my rant is over here it goes.
ours is liberation tower, it is a testement to the men and women who lost there lives in the revolution of sorrow, a time in hegstorian history we do not want to revisit. it is 2,000 ft tall, and is made of reinforced glass and steel. it is the "capitol" of our nation, our senate meets there as does all the branches of the government.

I agree.

i just dont understand how people can say stuff like that. even pretending, its just wrong. i still get the chills when i watch videos and when we watch shows about it in class i do get a little tear at points, and i know alot of people can say the same thing.

I cried. I do not cry. Ever. Things happen and I am saddened but I do not cry. For a week after 9/11 I cried. Haven't cried since then.

it was horrible, i remember being picked up from school, and everything in chaos. my mom was terrified. it was horrible, i know that day will be stuck in my head forever now.

Me too. I remember that day, morning to night like it was yesterday. My grandmother lives about half a mile from the Pentagon and said her building shook when the plane hit. I am about 20 miles away from the Pentagon. I was in DC later that day and it was nuts. It looked like the city was getting ready for war. Never before (and luckily since) have I seen it like that.

cameroi doesn't go in much for tall buildings.
unless you want to count some of the mountains some of them are dug into.
our tallest structure is probably just one of those big windmills.

in our more densely populated areas we do have some buildings, typically 3 to 5 floors about ground, and sometimes near as many below, that extend several miles in two or more directions.

cameroi's pride is in our infrastructure's harmonious melding with our natural environment.
we do not require phallic architecture.

truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.

I was 20 and at work when it happened. They sent us all home. Went to a co-workers house to watch the news. They said all planes were grounded yet planes were flying overhead. Later in DC there were HUMVEES on every major street with rocket launchers. Now Most of the time DC looks like a normal city. Doesn't act like one, I know, but it looks like one. That day it did not.

new york wasnt either. i dont know if you saw the daily show response to it, but that was exactly how we all felt. i think we would have agreed to nuke anyone if the government had said it was them who did it. it basically justified everything and anything in our eyes. but like you said the city was in a state of war, now i lived in the bronx, so we werent on the island but it was still chaos.
