Your Nations Tallest Building

Postby San Guillermo » Sat Aug 08, 2009 11:32 pm

What is your nation's tallest building?

The Kingdom is home to the Artigas Tower, located in the Artigas district of the capital city of Aramade City.

Artigas Tower

Image

Built in 2006, the bicentennial of independence from Spain, it was named after the national hero of the United Rivera, José Gervasio Artigas. It is 1,673 ft. tall (510 m) and contains 108 floors. It is a mixed use building, containing both commercial and residential space. At the base is a three-story retail mall, while a hotel occupies 10 floors near the top. The "crown" contains observation decks and sky gardens. It is by far the tallest building on the continent with the nearest opponent being 800 ft shorter.

EDIT: We are in the process of trying to stall the building of the Burj Al Alam, which looks remarkably similar to the Artigas. Besides, they got enough towers in that town to last a lifetime, anyway :lol2:

At 745 ft, the tallest building in Maurepas is the RSA Battle House Tower in Mobile:

Previously, until 2007, it had been One Shell Square in New Orleans, at 697 feet:

The Two Towers

They are the tallest buildings around. They are impervious to the weather and bombings. It is even said that they can take a direct hit from an airplane.

New Roccoland is in the process of building a 2,000ft structure called "Independence Tower".....not that we ripped it off of those people in Chicago showing a copycat of a spiral.

To quote Bruddah, who is one of the tallest restauranteurs in Fatatatutti:

At forty stories, the most imposing building on the stretch of beach that we call our capitol and the tallest free-standing man-made structure in Fatatatutti is the Daughters of the Crimea Memorial Day-Care Center.

Originally planned as the Fin de Siecle Hotel by a consortium of French bankers and hockey players, it was abandoned half-finished when they were bankrupted by the Y2K bug. The building was taken over by the government for back taxes and completed at a cost of 300 million cocos. Decorated entirely by children, the interior used nearly 100,000 gallons (380,000 liters) of finger-paint.

The tallest building in Gynocracy is the Temple of the Sacred Church of Her Magnificence Queen Linda.

It stands at 900 feet tall but is built entirely out of marble and encrusted with gold, precious gems and rare metals.

It is superstrong and massive in dimensions as befits a building that was constructed to honour one who is not only our great and glorious absolute monarch but also our Supreme Divinity.

Attendance at services in the Temple every Monday is compulsory and those who do NOT attend are swiftly tracked down and arrested by the police force and sentenced to imprisonment with hard labour for their act of blasphemy against our Supreme Deity.

It is of course illegal for anyone to construct ANY building taller than the Temple to Her Magnificence Queen Linda.

Started In 2001 But Recently Completed It Holds The Controlls For Leach Islands Nuclear Arsenal. As well as 2 barracks, Secret Government Archives that continue 7 feet underground the Dictators Bunker, aswell as Office Space From The 12th Floor Upwards Going Towards The Summit Where all Government Transmissions Are Made In The 2 Top Floors that are the dicators personal residence in an 18th century gothic manor style.

It is inpenetreaple from the outside due to the tremendous amount of military personell. The Tower is secret, in the way that it looks like a water feature, and that this "Water Feature" Is A Tourist attraction

The Godwinson Tower is still in construction. It is named after Harold Godwinson(1022-1066). It is expected to be at about 3,000 feet. Construction began in February 2005 on Lemoine Crispaine's orders. After his death in 2008, King Austin boosted spending on the building ten-fold. After his death on July 24, 2009, his son Frederick became king and legalized prostitution, gave it tax, and super-speeded the construction. It is expected to be completed in late 2017.

As an island nation frequently hit by hurricanes, we're not quite stupid enough to build tall glassy skyscrapers. Our tallest building is the Hotel D'Or in the capital city of Jade (several miles inland). It is only 17 stories high.

The tallest building in Massicut is the tower of Pylo. It was built approximately 700 years ago in our capital city: Pylopolis. It was built in the name of Pylo the founder of the United Clans of Massicut. The United Clans slowly developed into the Old Empire of Massicut and the Holy Massican Empire. Now we are the New Empire of Massicut. The tower is 650 ft. and no building in Massicut can come within 100 ft of its height by law. This seems archaic for a law but in honor of Pylo the tower must be the tallest building. It is actually a Roman Catholic Cathedral not a government building.
