[Gaiso]

One of the most idolized and respected heroes of the People's Republic of Gaiso is the current Premiere, James Gorbon. Throughout the Revolution, he was a constant spokesman for the rights of the people of Gaiso, as well as a successful commander on the battlefield, winning several fronts as well as successfully defending Upper Vahl province during one of the Prince's offenses.

Ruskarkand has afew national heroes, but the two parties from the Dragonkin of Ruskarkand both identify different heroes from their own species.

To name one, there is an affamed Dragon by the name of 'Melissa', a military nurse who recieved the Red Cross Medal for her outstanding service in the middle of warfare, she is considered a shining example to the nation, and an inspiration for Dragonkind.

Chief Sture of the Grindel tribe. Sture was the elected King of the Grindels and fought a war against the Ulin-Elog alliance, the war ended with a Grindel victory. Gutia was formed from that victory as the two other tribes was annexed into the Grindel tribe.
Gutia was the area where they lived and so they named their new nation after it.

D-16 itself is our leader, founder and hero. He has conquered planets to the millions, and protects those that he created through great armies, constructed by him himself.

We have several, but the greatest is God-Emperor Valerian the First.

Valerian started out as an ordinary person who thought that the nation was going the wrong way. With a few of his supporters, he founded a new political party: the Imperialist Party. This was during the Democratic Period - with Parliament well known for its debilating corruption and back-hand deals, with very few elections being remotely fair. Despite this, Valerian captured the hearts and minds of the populace and no amount of vote-rigging could stop his ascent. In just three elections the Imperialists went from having no seats in the Parliament to controlling nearly 70% of them; and so Valerian became Prime Minister. His first term of 5 years was spent instigating massive reforms and purges of the government institutions to eliminate corruption; and so in the next election he won 82% of the vote, winning nearly every seat in the Lower House of Parliament (the Upper House had been abolished as part of his reforms). Now, he began to move the full way. He presented the Constitution Act to Parliament, which passed it. The Act declared Prime Minister Valerian monarch and forced the current, corrupt monarch, King William VI, to abdicate, and introduced a formal constitution. However, King William used his reserve powers to veto the bill, and so Valerian called a referendum on the proposal. King William tried to veto that too, but when a nation strike was called by all public sector workers and a 3-million strong crowd began to march on his Palace, he consented to allow the referendum. It wa passed, at 87% turnout, with 92% in favour of adopting the act, which would abolish the democracy and declare Valerian an absolute monarch. A crown 10-million strong gathered as PM Valerian went to the Palace to have King William sign the Instrument of Abdication; William gave in. He signed it, then fled the country.

And so Parliament was abolished, however, Valerian's first act as monarch was to re-instate it, albeit with limited powers. Over time he led the nation to its pinnacle of power, and a nation-wide cult of personality developed around him. He is now worshipped as a god by the populace, and his descendants still sit on the throne as absolute monarchs to this day.

Raymond Engel is a war hero in Kreigan. Hes started out at the age of 18 in the 10th Infantry Division. Hes served in many of Kreigans conflicts and is now at the age of 40 is now an iconic inspiration to all of the soldiers in the Kreigan Army, mainly the ones serving in the 10th infantry division. Hes been put on many recruitment Ad's and has been on travels across kreigan during recruitment drives.

Captain Dan Norakxezix Huzgern
A firefighter who hails from Kapar. Became a national hero in 2009 for his actions during the forest fires of Weztwud which threatened many cities and smaller communities in the Wud District. When he heard cries for help coming from a building that caught fire he immediately went in, having to face intense heat coming from the fire and the toxic smoke that could cause suffocation in minutes.

He found an 11 year old boy who was in his room. The young child had great breathing difficulties. Dan had to act fast, so he let the child use Dan's breathing equipment as Dan made his way back out of the burning building whilst carrying the child in his arms.

He managed to bring the child out of the building but collapsed shortly thereafter due to toxic smoke inhalation and was rushed to hospital where he only barely managed to survive.

He was later awarded the FKR's medal of bravery for his actions.

No-one knows who the real heroes of the grand vorrodian revoloution were. But when the new oppressive religious leaders declared the Holy Empire of Vorradia,they set themselves up as the masterminds of the revolution.
Exactly why the revolution began has long since been twisted far from the truth by the religious leaders. Historians of many surrounding nations believe it began as the people saw their former secular democratic government as repressive of their religious identities. The revolutionaries toppled them from power and replaced them with religious authorities. Unfortunately, they became far more oppressive than the former government ever was. Harsh religious laws control every aspect of a citizens life.

Emperor Edward I- United the various warring tribes throughout the island and conquered an empire about the size of Europe over 15 years. He converted nearly all of the conquered peoples to Christianity. Legends state that he was a giant standing between 2 meters and 2.3 meters tall.

Field Marshal Edward Beckett- Lead the Luthorian military in the defense of Lundenwic during the civil war, the communist uprising, and several smaller conflicts earning the "Hero of the Empire" award four times, meaning that he literally saved the country four times.

Lieutenant Henry Dalton- During the siege of Lundenwic during the Luthorian civil war, Luthorian engineers were unable to place charges on the last bridge into inner Lundenwic before the fascist rebels arrive. Hiding behind a destroyed truck, and armed with his anti-tank rifle, he held off the rebels for 3 days, killing hundreds of soldiers and disabling dozens of vehicles before the opposite end of the bridge was captured and the bridge itself blown up.

Field Marshal Alfred Harlem- Lead the Luthorian Empire to victories in dozens of wars against the Leazusians, Scandarans, and other nations around them, at one point defeating all of its neighbors in one war, despite being outnumbered over 80 to 1 total. He also enacted the Harlem Reforms, which turned the Luthorian military from a backwards force still relying on knights, to a first rate military that always remained at least a decade ahead technologically.

The Empire's national hero is the Emperor himself, Dimitri Borischenko I. He is the sole person responsible for making the Empire the thriving power that it is today.

Grand Emperor Sebastian I is considered the most honored hero in Akorom. After leading the Imperial Army during the Trans-Akoromian Civil War, Sebastian I established the Akoromian Church with him as its head and as Akorom's Emperor.

While Premier Ivan Vroronin is touted by the military as a national hero, many people view his less-credited adviser, Dmitri Kokolov, as the true spirit behind the revolution. While the Premier is a brilliant military strategist and tactician (which he denies on a regular basis), Dmitri Kokolov is a master of propaganda and politics, uniting the people against the northern threat and eventually orchestrating the unification of the nation which would put Xanicea in power. Often credited with speaking out against injustice and influencing the Premier to create the Duma and grant wide-range civil rights, Dmitri is beloved by his people.
