Personal name first, family name last, with a middle name inbetween.
Boys are given a middle name at birth, usually the name of their father or one of their grandfathers, but can be the name (first name or surname) of someone else the parents admire. Girls are not given a middle name at birth but when married, they take the surname of their husband and adopt their maiden name as the middle name.
Humans follow the naming order of their country of origin - typically some variation of first name middle name(s) last name(s).
The sythen likewise have a 'typical' naming structure, though there are some differences between the clans and religions that do crop up. Traditionally, sythen names are long and complex, relating back to event's in one's clan's history and legacy. These names could be considered entire sentences in many human languages, and were very important to syth trying to maintain a unique identity. However, over the past 300 years, the unified sythen government has implemented a system of naming that resembles something that might be familiar to many humans.
