Greetings!

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom of Brutland and Norden has recently been authorized by its Parliament to establish a visa waiver program in order to facilitate people exchange, and cultural contact.

What is the Visa Waiver Program?
The Visa Waiver Program entitles citizens of program countries (countries included in the program) to be able to enter and stay in Brutland and Norden without needing to acquire a visa before travel. This visa-free travel will be available to those entering Brutland and Norden (as a tourist or for business purposes) for a stay of up to 120 days.

Having a visa waived is a very great convenience for citizens who travel much or who have significant contacts in Brutland and Norden. In effect, it would ease travel, and with it, stimulate cross-cultural learning, trade, and cooperation between our nations and our citizens.

Qualifications for the Program
The law passed by the Royal Nord-Brutlandese Parliament has several requirements for program countries. These are the following:

  • Reciprocity – the candidate country must also extend the same privileges for Nord-Brutlandese citizens visiting their nation.
  • Bilateral Diplomatic Relations – the candidate country and Brutland and Norden must have established bilateral diplomatic relations and have exchanged embassies
  • Low Nonimmigrant Visa Refusal Rate - to be determined by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • Machine Readable Passport Program – the country issues machine-readable passports
  • Other Requirements as determined by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Program Countries

These are the countries whose citizens enjoy the benefits of the Visa Waiver Program:

Candidate Countries
Currently, these are the candidate countries for the program, fulfilling all criteria except for the Reciprocity criterion. These nations may extend reciprocity in order to be included in the program:

Other Countries
Other countries may qualify provided that they achieve the requirements stated above. Diplomatic Relations can be established by contacting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Thank you very much and we hope to hear from you soon!
Sincerely,

Bricco di Sint'Brullizio

Minister for Foreign Affairs

OOC: For the candidate countries, you can simply express your nation's reciprocity here. For other countries not on the list, you can inquire here about what else you need to fulfill. For a start, you can establish diplomatic relations here. ;)

OOC2: To those who are still confuddled, this is similar to the United States' Visa Waiver Program.

The Republic of Sibirsky Department of State is interested in the Visa Waiver Program. Diplomatic relations are pending. Reciprocity is not an issue, as we have no visa requirements for citizens of most nations.
