We have received your messages, and thank you for your willingness to accommodate our flight paths. Please note the following:
[list]
[*] Our cities generally travel no lower than 20 kilometers above sea level.
[*] The fees will be wired annually to the agency you specify.
[*] We would like to note that the effect of our passing on your national economy would be profoundly positive, provided our citizens are permitted to visit your nation's businesses (of course, they will be expected to comply with Kalaspian-Shimaratan immigration laws and regulations). We of course welcome any Kalaspian-Shimaratan in YellowApple.
[*] YellowApple has adopted VoIP as standard protocol for voice communications. Thus, although it is possible to make calls to traditional phone lines, it is relatively inefficient, and thus we suggest the use of a digital connection. We can be reached at doir.gov.ya:5060.
We look forward to doing business with you, and hope for peace and prosperity between our nations.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Beacon
Chief Secretary, YellowApple Department of International Relations

We also note the corrected Kalashi demonym, and will be adding it to the YellowApple Directory of National Demonyms and Descriptive Adjectives.
We also appreciate your nation's willingness to cooperate with YellowApplan businesses, as well as the willingness to adopt digital voice communications. If desired, the YellowApple Department of Telecommunications would be happy to transmit technical documentation on our own VoIP systems, as well as contribute telecommunications engineers to assist in the deployment of Kalashi digital telephony systems.

Thank you for your understanding! We'll be happy to allow your telecommunications people come and help us. (An OOC description would be great to) with our VoIP but wish to also keep our traditional systems too!

Excellent. We will deliver a crew of 25 telecommunications engineers during our anticipated arrival in Kalaspia-Shimarata. This crew will also be accompanied by 10 linguistics analysts to optimize Kalashi audio communication systems to both the Kalashi and Shimaratan languages, as well as collect data on both languages to compose a tri-directional translation dictionary for reference by the citizens of both our nations.

1.The languages are called Kalaspian and Shimaratan. There is no language called Kalashi
2.Thank You! But can I please get an OOC description of VoIP?

Yup. Skype is just a popular VoIP program. YellowApple's system is like Skype, but creates a standard, open method that any software can implement (partly for efficiency, and partly because closed-source software - like Skype - is outlawed).

Why is Skype banned? But anyway, I get the message!

Kewl. And Skype would be banned in YellowApple because it's "closed-source" software; in order for software to be legal in YellowApple, its human-readable source code must be made freely and publicly available and well-documented, and released under an "open-source" license. So, software must be open-source software or, ideally, Free and Open-Source Software.
OOCly, Torvaldsville, one of YellowApple's major cities, is a shout-out to Linus Torvalds, the creator of Linux (the most popular operating system that is completely free and open-source in all instances). ICly, it's a tribute to his work and the open-source movement as a whole.
If you haven't noticed, I'm a computer tech major

Okay. Also, I thought you must have some job or intrest in computers. I have intrest in public transport (particually CityRail, Numismatics and gardening but these are just hobbies though! When I finish school, I want to be an urban planner!
Too bad it really sucks where I live, as buses will rarely arrive on time (and sometimes won't arrive at all).Advertisement
