The Grand Duke of Leenfonn's family came to power in 768AD. The legend is that a squire, named Aedan Leenfonn killed a Fire Drake (Dragon) that was killing the people of the islands (now known as the Leenfonn Islands).
There is some historical fact in this story. Aedan Leenfonn was a squire, but his rise to power was much different from the legend. The H-Alban Royal Family:
There were five brothers lost in a forest. One went to find water and reached a well, where an ugly crone demanded a kiss in return for a bucketful. The brother refused and returned empty handed, as did the next three eldest in turn. When his turn came, the youngest brother kissed the hag, and she became beautiful. She rewarded him with the promise that he would one day be King of H-Alba.
The youngest brother is King Michael-Angelo of H-Alba, first king of the Kingdom. This story has long been believed and is still believed by many. In truth the legend was probably created to teach the lesson of inner-beauty and nobility. King Michael-Angelo was the son of a wealthy land owner and most likely rose to power by leading a army uniting the lands.

The Àird Ghaoithe Family:
The King Sachairi of Àird Ghaoithe came to power after the civil war of 2011 when the Communist Regime was toppled. The Àird Ghaoithe family are relatives of the H-Alba Family, the former Royal Family. They were the Dukes of Àird Ghaoithe, now the Capital City. Alexander Àird Ghaoithe was the son of the Kings brother, and only surviving member of the Royal Family of H-Alba. He was the Great Grandfather of Sachairi.
