The Worse Part of the Job of Being Leader

What is the thing most dreaded by your nation's leader, with regarding to his or her total responsibilities as being the leader of your people ?

Examples: sending troops to fight & die for your nation, drafting the nation's budget, giving speeches, "meet & greet" / "press the flesh" with citizens, hosting formal dinners, receiving officials from other nations, campaigning, etc.

NOTE: One would think that the #1 most dreaded job that any leader might have, would be to send troops off to fight and die; however, some leaders who are warmongers, have been known to enjoy such responsibility. ( ooc: i.e. Hitler, etc )

The assassination attempts and constant danger of being betrayed. After former High General Starscream turned on him years ago and had to be sent to the slag, Leader Megatron has been unable to really trust anyone. Though Debugging has managed to save him from insane levels of paranoia, as evidenced by the lack of massive purges of his own troops, the knowledge that even his inner circle might betray him surely adds some misery to his life.

His Majesty, The King Sachairi's number one fear is giving speeches. His Majesty, while not afraid of crowds, is afraid of giving public speeches. He is working on getting over his phobia however.

The stress and little time to get all of the questions answered. Assassinations aren't close enough to worry about because the last assassination attempt was thwarted when a security-guard smashed the should-be-assassins' face with his elbow.

The constant uprisings and cults that spring up in Kel-Elysia. They all have to be put down. It seems that every week a new one of these arises.

Stress, having to deal with the shit that comes from running a country, not getting much fun time, and dealing with rebellions, insurrections, raids, and such.

Oh well, at least I get to sleep with a number of Reptilian women...

1. The absolutely constant fear of assassination.
2. The daily boredom of showing up at work at nine sharp each day, of eating the same bland peasanty food, and paperwork.
3. Inability to conduct bisexual orgies in his chambers.

Solutions:

1. Taking an obsessive micromanagement of every security procedure.
2. Travelling to other nations and within Sebastianalandia with trusted subordinates in charge.
3. Travelling to Tsvarchi.

HRH King Whirnak doesn't think there's any downside to being the leader of Tsvarchi. He had people write the 50,000 page budget for him, throws anyone he disagrees with through his office window and doesn't have to meet with foreign leaders since his External Affairs Advisor does that.

He couldn't be happier. He does think his wife should bugger off though, with her constant nagging and moaning that he needs to do more sexytimes with her.

Isolation.

The Grand Commander's isolation from his own people, who he legitimately cares about and loves, is a crushing fact of life. While he is surrounded by his closest friends, the GWO's High Command, he never gets to actually laugh, celebrate, or love with anyone outside of the top levels of the Spire, and in the last case, any sort of relation is kept very, very secret for security purposes.

I'm not sure about the President, but I can tell you what it is for the Prime Minister: Question Time.

Every Wednesday at 11am, the Prime Minister has to come before the National Assembly and answer questions from both sides for half an hour.

Anyone who tells me "You were really relaxed at Question time today" is kidding me. If you look below my waist my legs are quaking like jelly. Every time I descend into that pit, not knowing what I'll be asked, not knowing how many gaffes I'll make, I'm like a prisoner walking to the gallows
