We would use robot drones with the needed sensors (infrared for undead, artificial sense of smell or trained bees wired into the machine for infected) and with a combination of hollow-point ammunition and circular saws.

Redeker coupled with trying to contain the affected area before it spreads further. The old government developed a zombie plague, although there is only one location in Thurask that stores the virus samples of said plague. If there was an outbreak (which there has been before, sporadically), we simply burn the island with napalm and let the zombies rot away afterwards.

We learned in our last zombie plague that not everyone who contracts the virus automatically becomes a zombie. Some people become carriers who can infect people through blood, semen, or other bodily fluids. Some undergo transformations which cause glandular changes releasing pheromones. This is not always easy to catch. It may be due to a rare blood type or possible blood borne disease. These people are generally avoided by zombies but can blend in with the regular population. There have been some noted side effects to recently infected carriers including mental imbalance, and extended lifespans. The virus itself can be prone to mutation and is extremely dangerous and should be destroyed not stored for further study. There are rumors that some of the carriers have had children who are born changed with the infection. There are further rumors that this variant was due to either extraterrestrial contact or government experimentation.

After the 2007 <redacted>, the government has entailed a plan to eliminate potential <redacted> zombie outbreaks.

The lessons learned from the <redacted> were that zombies of the nature of those found in <redacted> were fast-moving, but generally unwilling to bite unless they had cornered and temporarily paralyzed their prey. Unlike the zombies of film lore, these were content to ensure that their prey was solidly pinned to the floor and unable to move before biting.

The optimum solution for the <redacted> involved was to use a flamethrower on victims, as sometimes the zombies would not be killed by shots to the head. <redacted> tried everything from 5.56mm ammunition to ancient 9mm rifles from old Mausers found at the site, but none of these were 100% effective with shots to the head. <redacted> concluded that flamethrowers and other fully destructive weapons like explosives were the only way to eliminate the creatures.

This would be the strategy employed by the elimination squads, but of course there is the matter of containing the spread of viruses like the <redacted>. Given Arkinesia's current warning system for infections, however, this is likely the least of anyone's concerns.
