How long does the average good produced last? What is the current average price for a Durable Good? What demand is placed on long-lasting goods by your populace?

Our goods tend to last longer than the goods of other nations, as they are made to be used for a long time rather than made for profit, usually by the people who are to so use them. Prices vary when trading with other nations, but within Gilthador, goods are free to those who need them. The demand for them is equal to the amount needed to replace broken or missing ones.

Our goods are built on the cradle to cradle philosophy. This means, they are generally modular and can be easily fixed. Once they are done, they are specifically designed to be taken apart, upgraded, and reused in other processes. It is more of a philosophy of making things easily fixable and recyclable. Different goods last different amounts of time.

Many of our goods have an option to be purchased as a service contract, so if you buy a refrigerator for example, it is the obligation of the company to keep the refrigerator in near perfect order until the service contract runs out. Then it is reclaimed for reuse.

Fascinating indeed.
