Ballots vs Bullets

Postby GOLTZBORG » Fri Apr 22, 2011 4:57 pm

How many current government aquired their authority via the ballot box; with either "free-and-fair" elections or else "fixed" elections ? ( results of a democracy at work is via votes, and is legal; but may not necessarily be moral.....as a vote is still a vote )

And which current governments aquired their authority via the bullet ( ammo box ); which would most likely reflect that a military coup d'etat had assumed command and control over the people and properties of your nation ?

That's kind of a sensitive question... we were considering holding elections soon to make it clear who the people support.

Any leader who used bullets to get into power would find themselves just as quickly beimg thrown out. We handle these via free elections.

Elections and Ballots, pshh, what a laugh.
Ruskarkand has always been lead by it's glorious military force, even back when the humans were in power.

However, it's worth noting that it was not a coup that made it so the military was the government, it just always has been.

There have been people who have said that leaders who used bullets to get into power survive only if they are the lesser of two evils.

Our leaders are elected in free and fair elections; a forceful takeover would be near-impossible, as most of our citizens both love democracy and carry an assault rifle wherever they go.

The current government was set up after a popular and widely supported coup d'etat. The current leader was elected by the people fairly and honestly.

The Prince's line has ruled Secunderabad since the Mughals, in their service, and therefore needed neither force nor a democratic election.

All major local, provincial, and federal government officials are, more or less, elected fairly.

Shortly after the collapse of the monarchy in 1879, the Provisional Social Republic of Rustonia was established. In 1890, the first elections in Rustonian history were held, withthe National Union of Socialist and Communist Parties achieving the majority vote.

We believe that bullets change governments far faster than votes, which becomes a handy foreign policy.

That said, we like to have a good ole election every so often.

All officials are elected via fair and open elections

And not fair american style. Fair fair, where each candidate is only allotted acertain amount of money to spend based upon what they're running for...

it's important to mention that all throughout history, people who have achieved power through blunt violence have always been dispatched from their positions in an untimely manner shortly thereafter, if not due to the countless partialities and quests for retributions spawned by their warpath then by our globalist international community.

You could say that the bullet made our current government, as the previous government (United. states of America) was eliminated by a series of terrorist nukes spread throughout the country. Our current leaders deposed the emergency President and took office as Emperor, and since then elections have been turned out as inefficient - instead, a series of police and rules have been installed to ensure the obedience of all levels of society up to and including the ruling leadership, and appointments are the normal form of changing leaders.

Since then, most if not almost all the citizens of New Amerik have agreed that the current state of affairs is better than what used to be - the previous government was little more than a corpse already. The Holy Technocracy has sinced moved out of that time of desperate actions and currently enjoys great peace and prosperity as one of the top nations on it's Earth.

Power seized through bullets. Current government elections by ballots.

This goes for us too.

Each Chancellor is appointed by their predecessor when they decide to step down. The chancellor will also usually have a specific candidate(s) chosen in advance and written down along with their will in case of their death while in office. In the unlikely event of both a Chancellor *and* all of their potential candidates dying around the same time, the Chancellorship goes to whomever seizes the initiative and manages to get people to listen to them. That's meritocracy at work.
