Parents, closely followed by teachers.

Unless the child is in a orphanage, in which case its just teachers.
The Red Tidean Union or The Union of Red Tide or the RTU or Red Tide. NOT Red Tide2.
Red Tide is an oligarchy, with the ruling body known as the 'Central Institution'. The Director of the Central Institute changes constantly. It follows no political ideology, so stop mistaking it for a communist state, thank you very much.

Anemos Major, on my nations name wrote:Oh boy, I can imagine being invaded by your nation.
"The Red Tide washes over us once again. But why?"
"It's that time of the month again."
Thank you, I'll be here all week. Try the veal.

Parents may wish they had influence over their children but in reality, teachers probably have more. As for the most influence, it's probably friends, siblings and society in general.

The teachers, followed closely by the parents. Preachers barely figure in at all.

Parents, while expected to take care of their children, are often too busy with their work to develop a meaningful relationship with their children to the degree often seen other countries. As a result, teachers are often expected to fill this gap as well as teaching skills.

OOC: Excellent Point :!:

Friends / peers and siblings would most likely have a great say in the way that a child developes.

Preachers and religion in general have a negligible effect, on both children and society in general, as while there is full freedom of religion, the vast majority of Novarieans (~99%) are non religious.

The parents since they're generally stuck with their children. Parenting is limited though and children tend to be very self reliant by necessity.

No single influence, and it largely depends on the child.

Parents are traditionally expected to serve as leading influences in the lives of children, with teachers and community figures such as preachers holding important, albeit secondary roles.

Parents and teachers are probably high up on the list, followed by their local Xanthaiyanist monk, then friends. Really child rearing is a community effort in a lot of cases.

In Turmoilandia, the parents have the most influence, followed by the preachers, and then the teachers. Turmoilandian parents tend to place great emphasis on ensuring that teachers are like-minded. The reason why preachers trail behind parents is because a minority of Turmoilandians are non-religious (they are generally proponents of secular capitalist principles and often consider religion to be bad because of the altruistic elements in religion).

Because of our belief in the rights of parents to pass on their beliefs to their children, Turmoilandian society has become more religious because religious people reproduce at higher rates. As religion's influence grew in Turmoilandia, support for legally mandated morality in public places grew.
