In the Commonwealth of Goltzborg, the government is actively engaged in recycling of resources; and as such, has required that all retail operations must charge a "deposit" on all containers that can be recycled; such as: consumables which are sold in cans, glass containers, plastic containers, and even some heavy duty ( HD ) paper containers, etc.
The average "deposit" added to the register receipt is 1/10th Gz per each container; which can be refunded upon return to the retailer. ( OOC: 1/10th Gz is equal to 1 dime US )
The government also has required that retailers begin charging 1/10 Gz per each sack that their customers need to carry their purchases home; which has added greatly to lowering the nation's demands for plastic and paper, since a majority of customers now bring their own bags / sacks into the store when they stop and shop.
Do your nation's retailers charge for paper or plastic shopping sacks / bags, or charge a "deposit" on consumable glass, plastic, paper, or metal containers; whether or not required by law, or only
due to the fact that the retailer wants an additional amount added to each purchase in order to pay for the store's supplies of bags / sacks ?
