Horse racing is a rare treat in the Commonwealth of Goltzborg; however, even though such sport is not too often an event, when the national horse race is conducted it is the #1 televised sporting event in the year....even though the annual race lasts for only a few minutes.

In the Commonwealth of Goltzborg, there exists an elite organization known as the Horse Owners & Riders Society of Equestrians / H.O.R.S.E. Association; which shows and races pure bred horses at the world renown "Kerby Derby Horse Race and Show" only one time per year.

The Grand Prize for winning the "Kerby Derby" is 1,000,000.00 Goltz ( Gz ), and all of the beer one can drink in 1 year.

Is horse racing a popular sporting event in your nation ?

Is so, how often are national horse race events conducted, and what is the Grand Prize ?

Horse racing is not exactly popular, but a lot of events have a great deal of tradition attached to them and are considered important to Revean culture. The largest race is Grande Carera do Richina, which is held in the city of Richin the third saturday of June every year.

The horse racing season occurs every summer and takes place mainly in three racetracks across Kingston. Then main races happen in Cheltenford.

In terms of equestrian sports polo os much more popular amongst younger generations but is equally enjoyed along with horse racing by everyone.

Horse racing isn't a major sport, but it has its fans in our nation. Most tracks also have casinos and large sums of money are bet on the races, so that brings people to the tracks. On average, there's a good race about every other week. The largest grand prize offered this year was B$700,000, which comes out to about $1.2 million USD.

Horse racing is very popular in Sibirsky, and in 2010 generated S339.5 billion ($587.3 billion USD) in various bets.

The first race track was constructed in 1603 in a village that would later become Shawnaville. The most prestigious horse racing event in the nation is the Miller Derby. The purse for 1st place at the 2010 Miller Derby was S2,000,000.00 ($3.46 million USD). The Miller Derby has been run every year since 1813. It is run on a 1 1/4 mile (10 furlongs) dirt track. Only 3 year old Colts and Fillies qualify.

It isn't possible to have a high-quality horse-racing program without a sizeable population of horses, which Fatatatutti doesn't have.

Horses were first brought to Fatatatutti nearly two hundred years ago for use as draft animals and they are still used as such today. The lumber industry uses them to haul individual logs out of the bush for minimum impact on the environment. The gypsies also use them to pull their wagons.

Riding horses have been imported and bred for some time and were once used by the Fatatatutti Mounted Police (FMP) to patrol rural areas. Today, there are still some hobby riders and they sometimes have impromptu races but no serious organization.

There is a Hippodrome right next to the Imperial Palace in Bispinosa, where old-fashioned chariot racing (but with modernized chariots) is conducted in addition to some traditional horse racing. Racing in general is very popular in the Empire. Our colony of Riddermark is known for its horse breeding, and even has a stylized Celtic horse in its flag. The Equestrian Racing League (ERL, often referred to as "Earl") is the official sanctioning body for horse racing (including chariot racing) events in the Empire.

Sebastianalandian racing takes many forms, all of them very different from the equestrian events of more bourgeois nations.

Firstly, these horse races are mainly in wooded areas, replete with natural obstacles. Riders are also allowed (in some, not all, races) to crash their horses into each other.

Secondly, most horse races in Sebastianalandia involve secundary, often weapon-related competitions, such as archery, javelin-throwing, or axe-tossing.

Thirdly, chariot-races are not unknown...

Horse racing is very popular in the Kingdom. Many people, mostly the richer, upper crust, own horses and hire others to ride and race the horses. Horse racers are part of the National Horse Racing Circuit. The NHRC season runs from the end of April to the beginning of September. The final race, for the best 8 horses, is known as the National Horse Racing Circuit Grand Derby. The winner of the NHRCGD gets a cash prize of 225,000 Drakma.

The Rusich "Artusk" Stallion is often used for racing purposes in several races around the world, and bred into other breeds to get out speed and endurance. In Rusikstan there are several major races that occur between "Artusk" stallions and several other mix breed races. No official numbers for horse racing are available at this time.
