Is the capital ( savings and checking accounts, Cert of Dep, etc. ) of your nation's depositors
( individuals and corporations ) protected by any governmental apparatus; such as a F.D.I.C.
( Federal Depositors Insurance Corp. ) or a F.S.L.I.C. ( Federal Savings & Loan Insurance Corp. ) ?

If so, what is each account insured up to ?

No, the taxpayers certainly do not subsidize hoarding. In Fatatatutti, people are expected to work for a living, not have their money work for them.

OOC: F.D.I.C. & F.S.L.I.C. *insure* accounts in the event of a financial fiasco; and as in the case of Real World USA, banks that are members of such institutions can not charge their customers for such insurance, as such insurance is backed by the US govt, and is free to depositors' accounts up to $250, 000. nowadays I believe.

Depositors are free to insure their own deposits if they wish through private insurers. Premiums are based on the insured amount and the financial health of the bank.

E&V AG has no authority to require banks to hold a percentage of reserves. However, it does require banks to hold Insolvency Insurance, the rates of which are directly related to how much the bank in question has in reserve. S&L's are not required to purchase insurance, and as a result tend to offer higher interest rates to those who hold deposits, as their deposits are not in any way insured.

Non-corporate lending institutions that do not have limited liability are naturally liable for all their deposits, and in the case of a bank run, the owners of said institutions may be sold into serfdom.

OOC: I know that. Fatatatutian society does not condone hoarding of capital and therefore doesn't protect it.

Private insurance companies deal with insuring deposits. The government does not create a free insurance system for deposits, and neither does it regulate reserve requirements.

Up to $10,000 (£91,091.11) per person or per authorised firm. Compensation limits apply by individual not by account. For example, if you have a joint account with your spouse or partner, you can make a claim of up to $20,000.

Savings, checking, money market and certificates of deposit are insured up to 250,000 rubles ($500,000) by the Ministry of Finance's Deposit Insurance Program. The DIP is an investment portfolio financed by funds levied from banks for their inspections and invested in government bonds.
