A Seperate "Price is Right" Request: Land is Dirt Cheap ?

Postby GOLTZBORG » Thu Apr 21, 2011 5:24 am

Using an acre as the standard unit of measurement for land, what is the cost of an acre of land in your Great State ?

In Goltzborg, an acre of land is currently going for 1,000.00 Gz for improved property ( i.e. road access, water, utilities, cleared, fenced, etc ); and 500.00 Gz for unimproved property ( i.e. rough, void of any improvements, etc ). ( Note: 1 Goltz / Gz is equal in value to 1 Real World USD )

OOC:
NOTE: This is a special and seperate request for pricing; and the reason will be revealed in the future.

We definitely don't use the acre as a standard unit for land, or anything else really.

Actual land prices vary with the location and quality of the land, but it's rather expensive pretty much everywhere you go.

The average price per acre is about 150,000đş in city and in cities' immediate vicinities. Less improved land, out in the country side, averages only 1,200đş. Country side land is mostly either farms or mines... (1đş = $1.6556)

There's no such thing as an "average" plot of land. Valuations can go from thousands for a small lot in a big city to hundreds for a much larger piece of farmland to virtually nothing for a vast expanse of jungle.

As a general rule of thumb, prices of highly-valued property increase as you get closer to the beach.

Location, location, location.

Rural land in the state of Smith could be as low as S130 per acre ($224.90 USD).

Waterfront land in the CBD of New Washington on the other hand is S35,000,000 per acre ($60,550,000 USD).

The national average is S18,686.87 per acre ($32,328.28 USD).

Depends entirely on location, and the range is too variable to give an accurate average judgment.
