In the nation of Goltzborg multi-packs of any commodity are packaged in units of 5, 10, etc; units divisible by 5; which replaced the former age-old packing of 6-packs or dozens.

How are multi-packs of consumables packaged in your nation: units of 5, units of 6, or another ?

A few years ago, there was a near coup d'état in our nation after several citizens couldn't find the least common multiple of hot dogs to hot dog buns. Hot dogs having 10 in a package and buns with 8.

It was then decide to bring tensions down by making the ratio 1 to 1. Reducing the items in each package to five. But this caused more difficulty as it unbalanced the packaging and the claims of carpal tunnel syndrome rose dramatically. Finally, the amounts were changed again to six to align the items in question with beer packaging since that beverage is often found to accompany the original foodstuffs more often than not anyway.

Since we have a dozenal numbaer system and decimal one, 5s and half dozens are the standerd but companies can do whatever they want. We don't care!
Kalaspia-Shimarata's flag represents the Union between K&S. The dark blue represents the sea and the light blue represents the sky. In Kalashi language considers light blue and dark blue to be different colours. England colonised, and unified K&S, between 1774 and 1953, and English, light blue and dark blue are considered to be the same colour. Therefore, the contrast between dark blue and light blue represents the union, but the differences between K&S where as blue being two but simultaneously one colour represents K&S being two, but simultaniously one entity. The opposite to the symmetry represents the unity and indipendance of K&S, whilst also representing the Kalashi culture of opposite symmetry.KS is 75% Christian, hence the cross.

Normally food is in 6, 12, or 30 packs. Or cans, SPAM is rather popular.

Other stuff that is normally bought in bulk normally comes in 20 or 50 packs.

Stuff bought in bulk is normally in 30 - 500 packs, depending upon size.

Capitalism is always the answer. Whenever there's a problem in capitalism, you just need some more capitalism. If the solution isn't capitalism, then it's not really a problem. If your capitalism gets damaged, you just need to throw some capitalism on it and get on with your life.

It really depends on the item in question. Food and other items may be packaged individually, or in groups of 3 (AA batteries), 4 (yoghurt cartons), 6 (beer cans), 8 (eggs) or 12 (various bulk items). Our traditional number system is based on 60, so in really big bulk-buy items, that's a common number.

Companies can basically do what they like, however, but these are typical.

We don't regulate that kind of stuff, but most multi-packs tend to be even numbers, so the stuff can be more easily arranged in rows.

Fatatatutians are fond of their baked goods, so the baker's dozen is quite common. That's why some of our egg cartons are in the shape of a Star of David.

How many items are sold per package is not regulated (that would be silly!) but a "dozen" means 12, and traditional means that 6 packs are more common than 5s, and 12s more common than 10s. Neither is even close, in fact.

It depends what's more important. If being able to do the maths is more important, we use multiples of 5. If the shape of the container is more important, we use multiples of 6, so we can use 3x2 or 3x4 arrangements instead of the more awkward 5x2.

Since Ghanara follows the metric system, consumables are packaged in units of ten (or multiples or factors thereof).

The most common multi-pack is eight. Next most common is ten, followed by four, then five, then twelve. We try to avoid anything that is not a multiple of either four or five.
