Are so-called "Blood Sports" legal in your nation ?
( bare fisted brawls, no rules, death to the finish )

OOC: More-or-less akin to "Gladiator Style" fighting.

Blood Sports are pretty much legal. Bare-boxing, pitting vicious wild animals against Human criminals, gladiator fights (in which all the participants are either Reptilian or Mammalian), the last two being more popular on the outer worlds.

Legal, if it comes to one's honour and both sides agree on paper.

If you're of sound mind, and have informed consent, then yes it is absolutely legal.

Any consensual act is legal. (Of course, all parties who are effected by the act must consent.)

There is little interest in "blood" sports, per se, though bloodless combat sports, like wrestling and martial arts, have their following.

Yes, noblemen do engage each other in duels and jousting matches that both can and often is open for the public both for fun and honour even if those rarely are until death between humans.

Animals however are often killed in public displays like that so that the noblemen can show their skill with blade and lance.

Of course! Even Megatron engages in duels. The ticket price for seeing him dispatch some honorable, but foolishly brave, dissident in single combat is quite high.

Perfectly legal, but only in one way.
In Northern Ruskarkand, where the icen wasteland is still spread out everywhere, you can occasionally find find massive patches of ice that are stained red.
There are sites where Ice wrestling goes on.

Two full grown Dragoons engage in a round of fighting on the ice, usually until one forfeits or gets K.O'd
The ice is always tainted red at the end of the match.
Bloody fun watching, even bloodier fun participating.

Yes, legal with written consent from all parties. Battles to the death are not popular, however, disputes are settled with a nonlethal wrestling match.

Aerial Jousting is relatively popular. Although most official matches require the use of a parachute-based landing apparatus, unofficial matches, if consented to by both parties, may take place without such safeguards. Such matches are almost guaranteed to be lethal for the loser.

Dueling is also an acceptable means of settling disputes.

In Scorpion Island, these 'blood sports' are legal. Many citizens enjoy watching them for entertainment.

Gladiator fights in the CSG exist in a commercialised form. Different corporations and clubs sponsor their gladiators in massive sporting events. However, gladiation as capitol punishment is not legal. It must be completely voluntary.

Whereas other nations might have football or football, Balkans have simulated (and sometimes actual) combat held in arenas of varying complexity and difficulty. In some cases it's various Academy units being drawn from the various compulsory military education facilities throughout Balkan territory, fighting with simulated wax and chalk munitions, a very popular extracurricular activity and good practice for end of the year finals and post-graduation service.

Blood gets involved at the higher tiers after that. While never payed to exclusively fight in the combat arenas, veterans shifting back from the front line can, with the consent of their commanding officer (or any S-Company Officer) receive a small sum of cash and a large amount of glory fighting in possibly lethal matches. Utilizing real ammunition and often times employing small-caliber artillery and armored fighting vehicles to add to the action, these engagements are widely televised and officially endorsed by the Balkan State. The largest participant and consumer of such fighting is the Balkan adopted home of Nova Poltavi, where the local inter-clan warfare results in honor matches as often as it does ethnic street wars.

It isn't considered a sport if there isn't a bit of blood every now and then.

With the exception of Tennis, which is a very sporting game to play with ladies.

Of course they're legal. We have many casualties, but not that many deaths (considering the fact that most of the population is already dead).
A young merc terminally ill with cancer, I signed on for a government "human weapon" program: Weapon X. They got rid of the cancer like they promised...sorta...by melding an advanced healing factor to it. The gruesome experiments left me physically and mentally scarred, so they put me in a mental ward where the guards held a dead pool. I escaped and rose to infamy, partly a hero.

For falling in love with a physical avatar of Death, I was cursed with life. I pissed off a divine power so that I could be with her again, but it failed. After I got struck down by some powerful lighting, I came back to life...as a breathing corpse. Fuck.

In albaie duels and jousts are fought by nobles while great nobles arrange for true battles between soldiers in their lands but convicts and other low ranking people fight in the royal arenas in front of crowds and the royal family.
