Romantiskas, officially the Republic of Romantiskas (pronounced: Romantiska), is a landlocked micro-state located in Central Europe.
Romantiska is a proud member of the WA and a self-declared neutral country.

History:

The history of Romantiskas began in the 1800's with the settlement of Gypsies. In 1854 the Gypsy hovels had been replaced by brick buildings into which artisans, caterers, petty clerks and others moved. The whole locality was referred to as the Gypsy Village until 1872, when the city was named Romantiskas, is still the official name. The city began to grow and acquire its character in the last few decades of the 19th century, and particularly after 1901,when prominent writers and actors moved to the Romantiskas.

Since the city was outside any political limits, believed to be sinful and haunted by its neighbours, city quickly became a popular drinking area. The area developed into a centre of free-wheeling and decadent entertainment at the beginning of the 20th century.

Romantiskas delcared state-hood on April 1 1910.

During World War Two, Romantiskas was invaded by Nazi Germany. Despite strong resistence most of the nation's Jewish population vanished during the Holocaust. The houses left empty by the Holocaust were occupied by marginal elements of society, the homeless, and prostitutes.
