With regards to your nations top leaders ( past and present ), which leader had the most change in his or her professional life before becoming a leader in your nation ?
( OOC: Think of Ronald R. Reagan...from Hollywood to D.C., etc )

Surprisingly enough, all of our leaders were Princes or Princesses before becoming King or Queen.

I think that is it, if not he would have said so?

Most of our Cabinet members have fairly predictable backgounds. Education Minister Schuyler Marmish was a teacher. Health Minister Dr. Alessandra Nobile was a surgeon with the Fatatatutti Relief Organization (FRO). Acting Foreign Minister Carmen "Shimmy" Dykstra was personal assistant to then Foreign Minister Harlan Escrow. Current Prime Minister Escrow used to teach at Fatatatutti University (FU).

The most notable exception is Defense Minister Harmony Chang, whose professional training is as a juggler and clown. She did serve a stint in the military, rising to the rank of Captain in the commandos, before returning to touring with a troupe of clowns, magicians, etc. She was called to Cabinet after her father, Mickey Chang, was elected President.

We've actually had one Actor-turned-President in the style of Reagan. His name was Sam Miller, a 78 (in his late 50s in Human years, actually) Tsintaosaurus who was a famous actor back in his younger days. His popularity was so high, in fact, that every member of the Cabinet unanimously agreed with Miller's appointment.

The Duchess of Ljubinje was a filmmaker. But the noble families of Ljubinje tend to have a more varied set of occupations than the other ducal families, because their family (ies) is larger and less affluent.

Former President Rudov Ruzakvax Kentar, who was president of the FKR from 1998 to 2010 used to be a painter in his early days before he wanted to pursue a political career at the age of 26. His young and charismatic appearance and his talents in arts gained him a lot of support and helped him become more influential over time, untill, at the age of 51, not so young in appearance anymore but still charismatic, he successfully ran for president. He was the second person in the FKR to serve 3 terms, the maximum amount of terms one may serve as a president. Nowadays, he still paints quite often, although more as a hobby as he focuses more on politics and he is still often heard on radio shows and is still often seen on TV programmes.

High General Carjack surely has had the most extreme change in circumstances amongst those in the small circle that is next in rank below Megatron.

Originally a human, this General was just a member of the so-called "101st Fighting Keyboarders" when the Decepticons arrived. Like most members of the Keyboarders, he was actually a desk-sitter who was physically far from the badass warrior he wished to be, though his mind was always awash in a desire to be either the dictator of everything or at least a high-ranker in a strong government under a like-minded leader.

Considered too unimportant for the CIA to bother to spy on, he was able to openly state that he desired to be a Decepticon and work to overthrow the governments of Earth without being visited by even one agent from the Intelligence Agency or even Homeland Security. Despite stating such desires all over the internet, no Earthian government gave him a second look when the Decepticons finally did come to the planet. They were far too busy saying "OMG REAL DECEPTICONS" to bother to look at what else was right in front of them.

This allowed Carjack to bridge the gap between the wanting and the doing without so much as a traffic stop along the way.

Needless to say, he immediately came to our side and joined up. Within a few short years, Carjack went from being just a "puny human" to one of the most powerful and deadly Generals in the entire Decepticon Empire.

Also, it is interesting to note that Voutville's anthem is a variation of an old song written and performed by Slim Gaillard himself.

Chairman of the Board of Executives(my nation's legislative body) Roger Goodell started out as a waited at a fast-food restaurant, who got scouted into playing in the Isle American Football League, where he became Most Valuable Player for 6 years in row. After retiring from playing he was elected Chairman of the IAFL. After his tenure as Chairman he was elected by the people of Easter Island to serve on the Board of Executives, where he rose to become Chairman 3 years ago.

Unfortunately, most of thr government comes from predictable backgrounds. Due to the Civil War, a very large porportion are from the military: our Vozhd, the current Field Marshal Vladicoff, was a General upon his ascention. Most of the system's top officials are from the military, social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering.

A few bizarre exeptions, though, can be observed:

1. Premier Vyacheslav Molotstein was some sort of clerk (he refuses to say what kind) before joining the Communist Party and working as a leading secretary.
2. People's Commissar of the Workers' and Peasants' Inspectorate Anatoli Debrevich was, supposedly, a beggar who was hired by an ironworks when the factory manager found him working on calculus.
3. People's Commissar of Public Health Aleksandra Kollontai was a former courtesan. In case no-one read, one of our top government officials was a prostitute. Oh yea, and she's in charge of social policy.
4. Procurator-General Vladimir Dzerzhinsky was unemployed until he was picked up by the Communists as a good informer on the Royal Police and started building up the future régime's security forces.

President Walter Anderson, famous for leading Wagondia through World War 1, had a very interesting beginning. Born in Salvador, he developed a strong love for reading at an early age. He worked for over 10 years in the Anisio Teixeira Library, as a Custodian. In his free time he would usually sit down and read the library's books. Anderson was happy with his job, which was quiet and well-paying, but wanted to be more in the world. He took up politics at a very small stage at first. He was the Spokesperson of the Neighborhood of Barroquinha, but then advanced to the Assistant Mayor of Salvador, the Mayor of Salvador, and even the Minister of Public Transportation. He was chosen as a running mate for Donald Elliot, who won, thus bringing Anderson to the Vice Presidency. Sadly, Elliot died of Pneumonia one year into his term, and Anderson was sworn in. Anderson had truly become something else, and was even re-elected for a second term.

Both of the current de facto (we would never say it out loud, EVER) heirs to the throne are former (well, current) slave girls. They'd be slated to take the throne together if their master, current King Meow, were to pass. They happen to be 19 year old twins, raised for 15 years as slaves by an independent foreign slaving company.

Probably the most bizarre background a major political figure had was the time when a housecat was elected to the Senate. There was a motion to elect a potted plant before then, but that motion failed by a single vote. A Senator had, due to some dispute with another Senator, nominated his grandmother's cat for membership, the motion being seconded and securing the requisite majority by 3 votes. Senator Whiskers would subsequently cast several tiebreaking votes before finally being expelled in a close vote 3 years later.

House cats are considered sentient in our nation. They've drafted and had passed a few bills.

Big cats are still disputed, and the house cats are divided on it. They've had multiple...catfights over the issue.
