The Royal Seydari Council is currently in discussions with the Seydari People's Assembly on creating a 3rd legislative Body with 1 none party independent elected representative from each region and province.

Note: The Sovereign Dominion of Seydari has a strong independent Judicial System which takes no directive from the Government. However The Lord Advocate is also the Supreme Magistrate of Seydari, No Lord Advocate has exercised this executive judicial right in over 90 years.

Party in power: Royalist Conservative Party - Used to be far right now more centre right, it seeks to free the economy from most forms of government control but keeps some regulations on key industries. It also maintains several welfare schemes the previous Labour government established (e.g. unemployment benefit and public healthcare) while making them less regulated and, in some cases, favouring part-privatisation of several government-owned corporations.

Opposition Party: Labour Party - Has always been a party of social democracy, it's predecessor was the leading political party when the nation was a republic but after the civil war it generally favours the constitutional monarchy system. It seeks to create a mixed economy with several of main businesses of the nation to remain in domestic hands.

Third Party: Republican Party - They seek to remove the monarchy and re-establish the republican form of government, it was banned for a year following the civil war but has since been allowed to reform and enter elections. It combines elements of both the leading and opposition party in, what some say, is a failing attempt to gain support.

The Christian Democratic Party was traditionally a Catholic party, but has since the 1960s become more integrated as a middle class, center-right party. They are the most culturally conservative, perhaps, tend to favor neoliberal economics, and advocate a more active foreign policy. In the last senate election they won 36 seats, and 23 tribunal seats.

The Nationalist Party is the party of the coastal duchies of Zatar and Zargusa, who claim fealty to the traditions of the Alé's, but generally treat Greeks and Italians preferentially, and support liberalizing the economic system somewhat, and a more activist foreign policy. They won 52 senate seats in the last election, but only 9 tribunal seats.

The caricature of the NP is the eagle, and its color is purple.

The Liberal Party is the most classically liberal party, favoring strong civil rights and liberties, neoliberal economics, and participation in regional economic organizations. In the last election they won 19 seats in the senate, but 42 of the tribunal seats, entirely in urban areas, and principally in Zatar and Zargusa.

The caricature of the LP is the swine, and its color is blue.

The Peasant Party originated as a rural party largely of Croats, Bosnian, and other inland ethnics, but quickly became the party of the Alés, urban ethnic minorities, and the urban working class, and they support strict adherence to the social contract and traditional policies: multicultural traditionalism, Keynesian economics, non-interventionist foreign policy. They won 78 seats in the last senate election, and 34 tribunal seats.

The Green Party is the newest party, and is the only fifth party to ever qualify for any seats in the senate. They advocate cultural liberalism, strong state economic planning for environmental protection, and a more activist, but generally peaceful foreign policy. They won only 9 senate seats in the last election, but 12 tribunal seats.

The current senate majority coalition is an alliance of most of the the Peasant, Nationalist, and Green Party senators.

Our Nation was once a Totalitarian and Absolute Monarchy hundreds of years ago under the Basia Dynasty, but after it fell and the Royal House of Seydari was chosen by the nobility to lead, we gradually evolved into a Democratic Constitutional Monarchy and our Royal Titles were downgraded and the title of Emperor was dropped. the Head of The Royal House of Seydari holds the title of Lord Advocate and 1st Prince/Princess. Saying that our Lord Advocate still holds the right to dissolve the Government and establish direct rule (Absolute Monarchy). The Lord Advocate has the final say on all legislation and decisions made by the Government and The lord Advocate with the Support of the Seydari Royal Council can bypass the Seydari People's Assembly and pass edicts with no legal opposition yet no Lord Advocate has exercised this right in 90 years.
