Has the current leader of your nation ever served in any military division of your nation ?

If so, what division/branch did he or she serve in; and what was his or her highest attained rank ?

Most Nicksyllvanian Aristocrats have served in the military, military service is essentially a requirement for any man to be regarded in upper society.

Usually the Guard Regiments are the most popular Units to purchase ones commission, although poorer aristocrats generally settle for line regiments, or if they have the physique, the grenadiers.

All three members of the Triad were in the Army. The highest rank President Sampson achieved was Colonel. The highest rank Chief of the Army Jacobson achieved was (and still is) Major General. And finally, Commander-in-Chief David Santorez is, well, Commander-in-Chief, the highest rank a military officer can achieve, though it's a government position, so the highest rank a general in the Army can achieve while still being in the Army is General of the Armies.

The Emperor of Britanania, not only founded the nation, but also founded the Imperial Army. He became the General of the Army of Ohio in 2014, the precurrsor to the Imperial Army. Hopefully his sons will join the military.

As the Queen is, by definition, a woman, she cannot serve in the Military. However, most Kings of Izzyshipper have served in the Military at some point, and some controversy was aroused when the current Crown Prince chose not to serve.

The Queen is a part of the Military in the sense that she is Commander-in-Chief and has several regiments formed in her name.

The current vozhd, Vladicoff, had served in the Royal Sebastianalandian Army prior to the Revolution, and had attained the rank of Colonel.

As the Revolution broke out, he declared his allegiance for the Communists and joined the Red Army.

In the eight years of civil war leading up to the final climax of the Siege of Kuggham, he advanced up to Colonel-General.

After that siege, which marked the end of the Civil War, he was promoted to full General (then the highest rank).

Soon after his election (by the All-Party Congress) as Vozhd, he created the new rank of Field Marshal and promted himself and a fellow veteran of Kuggham to it.

As a side note, the Constitution requires the Vozhd to have military experience of some sort, with a commissioned officer rank as a minimum.

1 year conscription (Mixed - Armored/Infantry division), four additional by choice (Same division, plus two years special forces), and still employed (Age 18+). Promoted to Al’verde at an age of 25 (Youngest General in Veceria's history).

It's traditional for the Minister of Defense to be a former member of the military. The primary function of the Ministry is to liaise between the government departments and the military, so it's considered advisable to have somebody in the Minister's chair who "speaks the language", as it were.

Having a serving member of the military as Minister would be considered a conflict of interest, since military and government are supposed to be completely separate.

The current Defense Minister, Harmony Chang, is a former commando Captain.

Otherwise, military skills are considered to be a poor fit for most government positions. The only other member of Cabinet to have served in the military is Education Minister Schuyler Marmish, who volunteered for one summer between high school and university and attained the rank of Corporal.

The first several Presidents of Vermont were leaders of the Vermont Militia, however excepting a rare few, no others have had any militia service, including the current President.

However, the Vice President did serve in the Militia for two years.

Muammar Muhammad al-Gaddafi, also known as Colonel Gaddafi, siezed the leadership of Libya illegally through force of arms on 1 September, 1969. Those who call him the legitimate leader in Libya really need to do some more homework, and perhaps take a good look at themselves morally.

Both sides have problems, and the rebels are certainly working with criminals, but the man they are fighting is not a saint. Remove them both, and let the Libyan people decide. Is it too much to request a little backbone from our leaders in this?

8 of the 15 Archons on the council served in the Protectorate Self-Defense Auxiliary Force, the Valikan contingent of the Macurean Commonwealth Defense Forces during the Macurean Protectorate that existed until two years ago. The others have been lifelong civilians.

60% of Parliament and 48% of the judiciary have military experience as well. The current military establishment, the Federal Armed Forces of United Valik, numbers some 1.5 million personnel, counting all branches.

While a bonus, past military service is not required for public office, mostly because there is no draft and no legal requirement to do such service, and also because our country is so new.

As for the Patriarch, his past is shadowy, as are the pasts of all Patrian Brethren, which are a paramilitary force in themselves and have refused to disclose their actual national and global membership numbers.

President Fowler is former Army Special Forces (as a Captain), while Prime Minister Holmes is former Naval Aviation (as a Lieutenant). The Minister of Defense is a retired Naval Commander.

Most Thuraskis are former military, due to the previous regime's rampant militarism coupled with a very inclusive conscription policy.

Yes.

Her Majesty served as an ordinary conscript soldier in RR 1 (Dragoon Regiment 1) and RUK (Reserve Officers' School). Upon her discharge at the end of the twelve months, she was promoted to Cornet in the Royal Army Reserve. Of course, at the death of her father, King Henrik VI, she became Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Forces and Field Marshal of the Royal Army and the Royal Air Force and Admiral of the Fleet of the Royal Navy.

Ms Jonna Vesilahti, the Prime Minister, did her military service in the Royal Navy. She is a Lieutenant Junior Grade in the Royal Navy Reserve.

President Hearse has served honorably in the military,
If so, what division/branch did he or she serve in; and what was his or her highest attained rank ?
He served in the Army as an officer, fought in the war against the Imperialist Barbarians as a Captain, then was transferred to the Rangers, where he participated in three raids before getting wounded in the shoulder, when he was than honorably discharged and given a Republic Sacrifice (essentially a purple heart) medal.

Our first President was a Captain in the navy of an alliance that sought to occupy the archipelago. He led a mutiny that spread throughout the fleet.

Our second President was Grand Admiral of his country's navy before it joined the Allied States. He served as Minister of the Allied States Navy for 10 years before he became President.

Our third and current President has never served in the military.

The Military IS our government.
At the top is the Dragoonaet Supreme Commandantis, or the Supreme Commandant for short, he is our leader.
And it is the highest rank in our Military.
