Term limits are undemocratic, and so are not used. However, it is customary for no Grand Duke to serve after the age of 70, the average Senator serves for no more than 12 years, however, Tribunes often serve for 20 or more years.

There are no term limits; the Warlord herself appoints those she trusts to governmental positions, and in turn, those appointed leaders assign followers under them, and the chain continues. However, the Warlord does not tolerate insubordination or suspects of treason; if one would be found containing treasonous documents or ideals, they would be confined indefinitely until the Warlord decided an appropriate punishment for them. The longest-running governmental position held by one person is the Warlord's Right-Hand Commander who has held the position for the entirety of Caixiang's three years of existence. The shortest-running governmental position held by one person is our Minister of Diplomacy who has held the title for a brief period of seven months.

For the first representatives (lentine mje'he'ny) it is 3 weeks. Oh, and it is a minimal term limit.

All officials may only serve one term, the term is for life unless the official steps down willingly. Not that we are all that big on the whole "Elected" thing in the first place.

Term limits? We don't have them in ML.
Please note that Mid Lothian is based on fantasy. Any references to anything/one/where that exists is completely coincidential.
Frequently used abbreviations: HoS = Head of State; HoG = Head of Government; ML = Mid Lothian; KSS - Kate Stephens-Smith.
Fancy an embassy in ML? Click me for details. (PS - I'll return the favour.)
I am usually rewriting stuff about Mid Lothian - just because it's true today isn't necessarily true tomorrow.

Warning - Full-time Grammar Nazi at work. You have been warned. (I guess that's due to my mum being an English teacher. Also, don't use masculine words to describe me - my name is Rebecca, which is clearly a feminine name.)

There are no limits on the amount of terms the Prime Minister or any other government officials may serve for. As many have already said, that is undemocratic. However no PM has ever served for more than four terms (16 years).

Governors can be elected for a total of 4, 4 year terms. Members of the Board of Executives can be elected for unlimited 5 year terms.

There are no term limits to a man's service and no fixed terms; Senate and Privy Council sit as instructed. By convention, however, a term is 5 years (no term has ever gone beyond that) and our Heads of Government will only ever serve 2 terms before their party forces them to step aside.

At the federal level, only the President is limited in the number of terms he can serve. He is limited to only two terms, which must be consecutive.
