Hospice Health

Does your nation have a Hospice Health Care System in operation ?

If so, is it sponsered by government funding, or by religious institutions as an expression of humanity and humane charity, or by "for profit" organizations and corporations ?

None of the above.

The family and friends of the terminally ill person provide all of the needed care.

Also, a very good system in my opinion....Family & Friends.

As a rule, hospice care is provided by family and friends - aided where necessary by government healthcare funds. In cases where the family is unable to provide adequate care, there are institutions available.

All heathcare is government sponsored. We have practically no religious institutions and the idea of "for profit" healthcare is thoroughly revolting.

The terminally ill are taken care of by friends and family, and the community at large, and made to feel as comfortable as possible so their death is as painless and as dignifying as possible. Actual hospice facilities are available as well.

Hospices do exist but are almost entirely charitable organisations who work without government funding.

It's run privately, or through religious or charitable organizations.

Hospice facilities are subsidized by the government, but these are normally only used as a last resort when it is not possible for family and friends to take care of the person

Hospice care is usually paid for by friends and family when they can afford it, and when that sphere fails to pay the government takes it out of healthcare funds.

Hospices are both charity and NHS-run. Both have an aim of keeping the elderly at home as much as possible, cutting pressures on care homes.

All hospices in the Galladian Empire are funded by the state.

Valcluse has few hospices as most families prefer to look after whoever has decided to shuffle off the mortal coil. Thus, the government has funds which people can apply to which can help cover care. Nurses are available from both government and private institutions to aid in the care of those dying.

The government has no official hospices, with the vast majority of them operated by non-profit charities working with either the government or private healthcare companies. All loans the government provides to families looking after those who are dying must be repaid.
