Has your government instituted a so-called national seasonal "Daylight Savings Time"; or does your government subscribe to any international regulatory equivalent ?
( DST: a universal scheduling mechanism / system for commerce and travel, etc )
( OOC: Some USA states, and many nations around the Real World, do not subscribe to DST )

Amacreians generally view DST as foolish. We don't like to use foolish things, and so we don't use DST.
Muammar Muhammad al-Gaddafi, also known as Colonel Gaddafi, siezed the leadership of Libya illegally through force of arms on 1 September, 1969. Those who call him the legitimate leader in Libya really need to do some more homework, and perhaps take a good look at themselves morally.

Both sides have problems, and the rebels are certainly working with criminals, but the man they are fighting is not a saint. Remove them both, and let the Libyan people decide. Is it too much to request a little backbone from our leaders in this?

We've had how many of these threads? I can count two of them from just one player.

Anyway, we don't have DST as we find the whole idea a bit silly.

The Front Range uses DST only because the majority of the world does; left to our own devices we probably wouldn't, but it reduces confusion a little and isn't a big deal.

Yes, we use the DTS .
The United Federated Districts of Hevora. Or Savedland, as it is often hideously anglicized...

We are a large, free, powerful and beautiful country with a very long history that stretches back thousands upon thousands of years.

We are a union of many nations and cultures. The most dominant and shared by almost everyone is that of the Hevoran (Savedlish) People. It has its roots lying in an ancient creole culture that emerged from extensive contact between a bronze age hellenic and norse civilization which evolved convergeantly on an fictional, alternate universe Earth.

Bit weird, I know. But we're a lovely culture if you care enough to get to know us! :D

OOC: I can appreciate your point to a great degree; however, with DST being a "Real World" current event (1), and an almost daily infusion of many-many new nations emerging within the various regions of NationStates (2), threads will tend at times to be repeated; and if for nothing else, except for the fact that memories of some are as long as an "inch worm" (3), and to do a "search" takes more time than a post or reply (4).
( I'm not defending repetitions...merely offering several reasonable and possible explainations )

We run on Fatatatutti time. We'll be there when we get there.

We make the best use of daylight by barbecuing around the clock. (Some barbecues come with optional headlights.)

DST is used in Minoa, from the last Sunday of March to the last Sunday of October.

Hooray, another duplicate.

We're a tropical nation with little to no variation in the seasons, with a relatively equal amount of sunlight and daylight. We do not observe DST.

We observe Party Time all year round.

We feel that DST is completely arbitrary, and only leads to confusion, therefore we do not observe it.

I've copy-and-pasted my response from this thread, which was opened way back on Friday.

Mid Lothian wrote:Yes - the country shifts forward at 1am in their respective time zone on the last Sunday in March, and goes back at 2am (again, in their respective time zone) on the last Sunday in October. This started during the Mid Lothianian-Chinese War - so that there would be longer manufacturing and farming hours - and nobody bothered repealing it after the end of the Second World War (we were dragged into this, despite a peace pact with the Nazis: they agreed to not fight us, but went back on their word in 1942).
Please note that Mid Lothian is based on fantasy. Any references to anything/one/where that exists is completely coincidential.
Frequently used abbreviations: HoS = Head of State; HoG = Head of Government; ML = Mid Lothian; KSS - Kate Stephens-Smith.
Fancy an embassy in ML? Click me for details. (PS - I'll return the favour.)
I am usually rewriting stuff about Mid Lothian - just because it's true today isn't necessarily true tomorrow.

Warning - Full-time Grammar Nazi at work. You have been warned. (I guess that's due to my mum being an English teacher. Also, don't use masculine words to describe me - my name is Rebecca, which is clearly a feminine name.)
