Do the people of your nation live under any outward or subpressed threat of a so-called "Dooms Day Clock"; whereby, their daily lives are on a more hightened state of awareness than that of other peoples in other areas of the world ?

OOC: Think of the people of Israel and/or Palestine, etc; whereby, daily living is mixed with death and destruction a great majority of one's lifetime.

Not for a while now. The old government loved a summary execution for any arbitrary reason, although the new government has outlawed the death penalty and the secret police. The regular police ensures that terrorists, thugs, etc. who would otherwise threaten our people are dealt with to the fullest extent of the law.

Nope. Being nearly 600 miles away from any other Non-Valencian civilization, and being in the middle of the ocean surrounded by 10 colonies, not at all.

Our human slaves average life span is around 30 or so...Many not living to this because of malnutrition and overworking (Diseases for humans have been eradicated...)

We are the "other peoples in other areas of the world". Our society has developed over the centuries to minimize death and destruction. If we weren't constantly striving to improve our situation, what would be the purpose of life?

Sounds like superstition to us. Zaakuwando, our people's religion, speaks of an End Time when all that we know will be swept away and replaced with new things, but since no two Zaakuwando churches can agree on when that time may be or what that "sweeping away" actually is, no one worries too much about it.
