The state owned Lusitanian Informer is the only legal newspaper in New Lusitaniagrad and therefore the most popular. There are of course several underground "newspapers" consisting under achieving anarchists and communists with access to computers and an office supply store.

The second biggest newspaper is the center-left La Nacional, with 8.5 million readers daily. Other newspapers include El Día (5.5 million readers) and Épocas Suramericanas (3.7 million readers). The latter is a newspaper dedicated to politics and events in South America and is a competitor in this area to La Semana.

The Daily Liberayle is far and away the most popular newspaper. It is the self-proclaimed protector of Liberaylian morals and has about 30 million (about a quarter of the entire population) daily readers. ((It is somewhat equivalent to the Daily Mail IRL)).

Woodstock Daily Mail, moderate/centrist, unofficially considered Sarzonia's paper of record.

Portland Press-Herald, slightly right-leaning, mostly on economic issues.

Those are the two most popular papers in Sarzonia.

The New Geneva Times (predominant paper of the capital and widely read elsewhere)
The State Weekly Review (state-published news magazine covering parliamentary, governmental, royal, and church activities as well as other news of nationwide interest)
The New Glennland Gazette (nationwide, primary competitor of the Times)

Other regional and local newspapers exist, but are not as popular.

The GSD's most popular newspaper is The Royal Standard. It was established by Bechlan the Pushover as a way of communicating to his subjects and bringing a new level of accountability to the government.

Despite being founded by an Excellence and being the only newspaper to hold royal appointment, it is actually politically neutral and can be quite critical of the Royal Family at times.

The most sold newspaper in the Kuomintang is the government-controlled China Times. Privately owned newspapers are often printed and distributed freely, so there's no way to keep track of those numbers. :)
